(...) Jim, I appreciate your post, and all that you discussed. However, what are your comments on what Brad Justus said at Brickfest: "the Technic theme is not dead". (URL) sad to see things turn out as they have. If Lego are really doing away with (...) (22 years ago, 3-Aug-02, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Say it ain't so...

That's it, I can't take no more of this crap lego is releasing and calling sets. If these sets are so great why are they discontinued so soon and why are they re-releasing old sets, the ones which were good. Lego has never had to follow fads. And as (...)   well wishes /coverage

While I am unable to attend BrickFest(tm) this year, I am still very much looking forward to it. The coverage in previous years has been excellent. I am hoping that once again there will be live webcams[1], realtime reporting of the Brad Justus/LEGO (...) (22 years ago, 13-Jul-02, to lugnet.events.brickfest)

Re: Technic's only in a coma (WAS Re: Technic's Dead )

Just my comments on Technic, and Lego in general... Most of us know that Lego is a company, and it does rely on a lot of market research, and it's important to realize that while we are a market segment, we are not the biggest market segment. Some (...) (22 years ago, 5-Aug-02, to lugnet.dear-lego)

Re: Technic's Dead (was: I need Technic)

In my mind it is easy to see where lego went wrong on terms of technic. A change in the technic line may have been needed to evolve a little after 1997 but they went the wrong direction. Instead of modles becoming more complex, larger, better (...) (22 years ago, 4-Aug-02, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Would you buy it?????

I've made a point of avoiding video games for years now. It's weird because I love them. I know this is gonna seem REALLY Old Skool, but, I loved my Nintendo! I had all the Space Ship - Multiple Gun games. Then I realized, the more I played Video (...) (22 years ago, 11-Aug-02, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.lego.direct)

  Re: Which Classic Space Set?

(...) According to Brad Justus last year at Brickfest, it was the kids that really ate up the "majority" of the Guarded Inn... My guess is that they're trying to cross breed the "kid" and "adult" market as much as possible. IE make it as appealing (...) (22 years ago, 30-Apr-02, to lugnet.space)
