Heh. Nostalgia. Nothing wrong with a bit of nostalgia.. but I doubt the kids will be impressed.

Aren't these Legend sets like 90% for adult collectors anyway?

I guess I've never really understood the marketing strategy.  Seeing as how
most interested adult collectors would  1) already have the set, and 2) not
want a re-release lowering the value of their collectible.

Somebody school me!  This is probably a very old conversation.

According to Brad Justus last year at Brickfest, it was the kids that really
ate up the "majority" of the Guarded Inn... My guess is that they're trying
to cross breed the "kid" and "adult" market as much as possible. IE make it
as appealing as you can to both markets. Would adults love a 497? Sure.
Would kids? Nah. Would adults love a Battrax? Sure (maybe not as much I
guess). Would kids? Sure (At least I'd think so more than a Galaxy Explorer).

(...) Actually, to contradict myself, the 497 is my kids' favorite thing to play with out of my big ol' classic space display, second only to the triple-6990 track. <a href="(URL)FUN</a> --Dave :o) (23 years ago, 1-May-02, to lugnet.space)
