| Ive got a pretty crappy answer for you but its the best I can offer; check out how much current the RAM draws from a data sheet and calculate the power it uses (P = IV, where I=RAM current, and V=5v). | It is possible you have a bum 6811. I have seen 6811's with bad output address lines. this causes mirroring in the RAM as what should be multiple locations get mapped to the same byte in memory. | also, joe... there are several programs you can run to get more conventional memory (640)... dos 6.0 to 6.22 comes with memmaker... run this a couple times, toy with the settings a bit to see what you can pull off... one of the settings may cause (...) | Robin, out team has had the same problem. And after much of the following troubleshooting, we narrowed it down to a faulty 6811. We replaced the chip and everything ran smoothly. | i'm sure they do, but the memory effect can be fixed and can be used to your advantage in some cases... you may want to talk to people all a local hobby store... esp. if they have a track.... i never learned the memory stuff, being into gas trucks, (...) | (...) NiMh batteries do not have a memory but they do discharge faster when sitting unplugged. In my Thinkpad 750 (for which I have one NiCd and two NiMh batteries) the NiCd looses < 5% of its charge overnight and the NiMh batteries loose around 15% (...)
