It all depends on what you are doing.
For one 8 bit micro to deal with all the sensors, motors, and
intelligence, you are asking a lot.
On the other hand if you just want to drive around and view the world,
it is probably a bit too much.
The HB has advantages because it has *LOTS* of sensor inputs, as well
as built in motor drivers, and easy programming environment. I have
never felt IC was taxed for most of what I am doing.
The biggest problem with any 8bit micro (doesn't matter which one,
maybe the 64180 is a little better), is lack of address bus for
expanding memory. When doing maps, or vision, or logging, it is
sometimes nice to store things towards a megabyte or more of memory,
and most of the 8 bitters only directly address 64K.

| I've been looking into the HandyBoard, and it looks great. I'm wondering if I could get some opinions here. A friend of mine and I are going to build a robot, and we are trying to decide if we should go with the HB, or make something else. I know (...)
