Re: Queen's Birthday long weekend- National meet proposal.

(...) Make sure you're really good at rebuilding from memory, or did up instructions for your MOC. Stuff in checked, at least in the US, fares far more poorly than carried on items. Same jouncing in flight, yes but the baggage handlers are rougher (...) (23 years ago, 9-Apr-02, to lugnet.loc.au)

  Re: maze solving algorithm

How does the robot know where it is on the memory map when it starts? Probably the mapping algorithm should be able to allow the robot to be placed anywhere in the maze as the starting point. This requires a greater map array to start from and an (...) (21 years ago, 12-Jun-03, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Mindstorms NXT programming languages

In fairness, although the NXT has a small amount of memory, you're talking about porting a high level interpreted language like Python to a low-cost embedded platform. For my sins, my day job consists of developing code that must cross compile (...) (19 years ago, 13-Jan-06, to lugnet.robotics)

While the declaration for mm_free_mem is int mm_free_mem(void) The fact is that the RCX has only 32K of memory available. 32K in hex is 0x8000... there's never a need for more than 4 digits in hex.
