RE: LEGO robotics on a budget?

I recently set out to buy the Ultimate Builders Expansion kit (I was after additional motors), but haven't been able to find it in the city yet (Calgary, Alberta, Canada). So, I decided to find a separate kit that would provide useful pieces to my (...) (21 years ago, 7-Jun-03, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: LEGO robotics on a budget?

(...) Buy the RIS (probably 2.0) and play around with it for a while. Get used to what you can do with the parts provided before you assume you'll need a gigantic pile of parts available just to get started. If you're working on a budget, the best (...)   Accessory set 10076

Yesterday I visited Legoland Billund. A great trip, which of course also included some shopping. Apart from the new world city sets I didn't see anything that struck me as new, but I did pick up a Technic accessory set, because it included some gear (...)   Future Mindstorms Release

Does anybody have any knowledge of the next Lego Mindstorms release? More importantly -- will there be one? Has Lego abandoned the RCX for the inferior, yet more marketable Spybotics product line? (21 years ago, 27-May-03, to lugnet.robotics)

(...) Interesting. I do own a couple Spybotics, although I'm not sure I've ever even put batteries into them, and I think (80% sure) they were in another room at the time.
