  Re: firmware update

Hi Andreas, (...) No idea ! Did you try to set the tower to short range? Did you try to download it with standard RIS software ? Did you try firmware.exe from the SDK ? (...) No, should be the same file. (...) (23 years ago, 29-Dec-01, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Maximum Subroutine numbers?

I don't use Robolab, but I can offer some insight into how the RCX firwmare operates with subroutines (and events) that may partially explain your problems. RCX firmware supports 8 (eight) subroutines per slot. Internally they are numbers 0 to 7. (...) (21 years ago, 28-Dec-03, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.robolab)

(20 years ago, 13-Dec-04, to lugnet.org.it.itlug)

Downloading in Robolab seems to work, but I see no (...) (21 years ago, 29-Nov-03, to lugnet.robotics, lugnet.robotics.rcx.robolab)

(...) I think RoboLab uses its own firmware, so patching FIRM0328.LGO won't help you unless you use the RIS programming environment. (Or NQC, but that apparently isn't allowed by FIRST?) (...) I've used FIRM0328.LGO with older (version 1.0) RCXes (...) (21 years ago, 29-Nov-03, to lugnet.robotics, lugnet.robotics.rcx.robolab)

  lejos firmware download error

I'm trying to run RCX Download/Directmode (RCX Tools 1.3) for lejos. I'm using windows ME using the RC-Download manager. When trying to download the firmware, I get an error message in the middle of the download (when the staus is around 2-3% (...) (23 years ago, 16-Sep-01, to lugnet.robotics)

  RE: Firmware

(...) As far as I know, the EEPROM on the chip is a small space where the bytecodes live. The RAM for data is in a different place on the chip. The RCX was unique in that the uploaded firmware and data RAM were in the same external chip. The Spybots (...) (22 years ago, 29-Jul-02, to lugnet.robotics.spybotics)

1.04beta isn't working with nqc 2.2r1 for Linux :(. After the download completes I get a SOUND_FAST_UP then the LCD goes blank and the RCX is completely unresponsive.   Re: Firmware file version?

Hello again, Does anyone know what the checksum is for downloading firm0328.lgo (the checksum to pass to the RCX begin-download call)? I've been doing some experimenting with firmware downloading. Tobias, You are right: (URL) 2.2 is a major update to NQC that adds support for RCX 2.0 Firmware and a final Scout API (preliminary Scout support was added in 2.1).   Enhanced standard NXT firmware updates

I have uploaded a pre-release of a new enhanced NBC/NXC firmware (1.06a) which you may want to try out. It has a new arrop opcode which supports a number of useful array operations. OPARR_SUM, OPARR_MEAN, OPARR_SUMSQR, OPARR_STD, OPARR_MIN, (...) (17 years ago, 11-Jan-08, to lugnet.robotics.nxt)
