Tobias,

You are right:
http://www.enteract.com/%7Edbaum/nqc/index.html
Version 2.2 is a major update to NQC that adds support for RCX 2.0 Firmware
and a final Scout API (preliminary Scout support was added in 2.1). Refer to
the Release Notes for more detailed information. The RCX 2.0 firmware is
available from www.legomindstorms.com as part of the RIS 2.0 SDK.

I dont know about the vision command, but the sdk avalible on mindstorms
website (2.0 beta) does not update the application. They also are not
offering a special upgrade kit (to my knowledge). The sdk does include a
free programing interface, but its text based, and you have to manualy • type
in all the text. Its called mindscript.

hope this helps

If I download and install the new firmware in my RCX, will the RCX code
programming application be updated as well, to use the new firmware?
(You know, the program where you add little pieces together to form a
program) Or do I need a special upgrade kit to upgrade the software?
