Need Decision Help - Buy RIS 1.5 now or 2.0 later

I need to make a decision about purchasing Mindstorms kits for my sons school. We have decided to buy 5 or 6 RIS kits. The question is, should we buy 1.5 kits that I can get a hold of now or should we wait until fall to get the 2.0 kits? So far, I (...) (24 years ago, 9-Mar-01, to lugnet.robotics)

  RE: Help with Terminal Emulator

If you get the USB tower from Pitsco you will need to download (...) (21 years ago, 17-Feb-04, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

  Not that you care...

If anyone isn't unsure, I concede that I goofed with respect to the word "fluid". I still stand staunchly by the distinction between "hydraulic" and "pneumatic".   Re: Automatic RCX Battery Recharging

Yes, the object is to have the RCX robot monitor its own battery charge (something available to the RCX firmware, and lejos, etc..) and then when it is consistently low to drive up to some sort of home made charging station and get a boost. 1. Hardware upgrade to USB IR tower: Dacta is Lego's educational division. For some reason, in the US it is known as Pitsco.
