| (...) I second all of that. And I'd also recommend trying to get hold of a RIS 1.0 - especially if you're planning to do a lot of programming. | I haven't used my RCX for a while, I found it doesn't work when I want to download firmware to it today. In fact, it is near non working! The RCX2 tools, nqc, lejos and WinNQC all can't find this RCX, but it can be found in 1% chance even if I put (...) (24 years ago, 23-Feb-01, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

| (...) Like Mario Ferrari said, RCXCC works fine with the new firmware and NQC 2.2 and 2.3. You just need to make some changes to the autoexec.bat. I'm using legOS 0.2.4 on Cygwin, and since memory is tight, I thought I'd try statically compiling my program to an .srec file, and using firmdl3 to download it, since I can do without the keys,conio,task, and memory managment stuff. | With repect to the RCX, what use are the Droid Developer Kits (DDK) beyond their appearing limited 7 firmware programs ?
