| | Re: Shop at Home Shipping Rates
| (...) I was greatly disappointed when I recently stopped by my local Toys 'R' Us and discovered their prices on LEGO sets. Some sets were at retail; certainly none were below, and a good many were above, some by as much as 40%. Examples: Big Gray (...) (18 years ago, 13-Dec-06, to lugnet.market.shopping)

| | Re: LDD vs LDraw
| (...) I think there's some discussion on this topic already, but my view is that LDD and LDRAW each have their place. LDD Pros: -Easy to use with a gentler learning curve. Most kids can figure it out. -Quite rapid to construct models. -Real-time (...) (18 years ago, 13-Dec-06, to lugnet.cad)

| | Re: Classic Space Rocket Train
| (...) Wolf, I'm greatly impressed with your rocket train. With the backgrounds you've added, the images look like they might as well be out of an early 80s LEGO catalog. The style of building closely matches that of the classic Space era. I'd love (...) (18 years ago, 4-Jan-07, to lugnet.space, lugnet.trains, FTX)

| | Re: 10133 sold out / 9V Trains speculation
| (...) Jonathan, Glad that you were able to grab some 10133s while LEGO had them. This is pure speculation, but I would guess that we're going to see the present generation of 9V sets scaled back as LEGO brings in the new Hobby Train factory set to (...) (18 years ago, 9-Jan-07, to lugnet.trains)

| | Re: What color are new 9V train tracks?
| (...) It seems that LEGO exhausted their inventory of old dark grey tracks and had a new run made up in dark bley. Some 9V tracks were out of stock over the holiday and, when they came back in stock, seemed to be from a new production run. The (...) (18 years ago, 16-Jan-07, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

| | Re: Strange rails
| (...) There's a pretty comprehensive article on the red test moldings at (URL) the article notes, test moldings are often done in red because it is the most difficult color to mold. Hence, Jason's theory makes a lot of sense. It is surprising that (...) (18 years ago, 23-Jan-07, to lugnet.trains)

| | Hail to the Chief!

| Seems that James Mathis and I were thinking along similar lines this past week. I, too, designed some streamliner cars of my own using the LEGO Factory parts palette, although I modeled mine on the "Metroliner" paint scheme rather than for the Super (...)
