Homemade Xmas Gift: Magazine Rack from LEGO Bricks

A couple of years ago, I got irritated by a stack of magazines laying around the house and decided to throw together a quick little holder for them using some DUPLO bricks. Later on my mother-in-law spotted it and asked if I would build her one. (...) (20 years ago, 24-Dec-04, to lugnet.announce.moc, lugnet.fun.holiday, FTX) !

  I'll deserve coal next year!

My wife Laurette is the one who helped end my dark ages 14 years ago by placing a 25 piece 6811 Pulsar Charger (URL) in my Christmas stocking as a gag gift. That gag gift's piece count has since been squared and squared again (25 X 25 X 25 X 25). I (...) (20 years ago, 23-Dec-04, to lugnet.general, lugnet.fun)

Anyways, the article didn't have any pictures, but I was able to locate (URL) another article>, which had one sorta (URL) bad picture>. Did anyone (...)   Re: 8x9 foot LEGO menorah constructed in Burlingame, CA

(...) Yeah, that also struck me as very odd. It hardly seems like LEGO to be so discouraging, and besides, what's so impossible about an 8'x9' LEGO menorah anyhow? I'm wondering if "It can't be done" was not LEGO's answer to "Is it possible to build (...) (20 years ago, 21-Dec-04, to lugnet.fun.holiday, FTX)

(...) Sorry don't under stand this 100% (the English language here). I guess you mean, that people complain about new sets, bad design etc. Some do, I still (an most?) see sets as bricks, we build our own. New colours - that causes a lot to discuss. (...)   Argumentative paper I wrote for College

Hello, I was recently given the opportunity to write an argumentative research paper on any topic I wanted so, of course, LEGO® was an obvious choice. Basically, I wrote about what I did and didn't like about the company and what I'd do to change (...) (20 years ago, 19-Dec-04, to lugnet.general)

Is lego *truly* unlimited? (some thoughts)

I was just wondering today about how much lego is trumpeted as having an 'unlimited' number of possibilites. Now I'm no math whiz, but it seemed logically impossible to me.
