I wonder who this rabbi talked to at LEGO, because telling him it was
impossible seems silly.

Yeah, that also struck me as very odd. It hardly seems like LEGO to be so
discouraging, and besides, whats so impossible about an 8x9 LEGO menorah
anyhow? Im wondering if It cant be done was not LEGOs answer to Is it
possible to build an enormous LEGO menorah? but to Would you please send me
the bricks to build an enormous LEGO menorah? :)
Woah, that first photo is crazy. Rock out!
These photos seem to be of a Hanukkah celebration in Florida though, not the one
in Burlingame, CA.

Did anyone else come across any pictures?

My friend Kathy was at our annual Christmas vs Hanukkah party the other night
and brought by the San Francisco Chronicle article in which she had first heard
of this LEGO menorah. The article had a tiny photo of the
menorah--unfortunately I dont have that article to scan. A
Google News search on lego menorah turned up several links (apparently its not
a completely novel idea), but no photos of the Burlingame festivities. A
regular Google search turned up a link to an article about a
ten foot LEGO menorah--Organizers said it was the tallest Lego menorah in the
world, pending certification by the Guinness Book of Records.
Sounds like people are doing the impossible left and right!
Its a Festivus miracle! ;D
