Re: Questions About Selling Custom Model Instructions: Confirming LEGO/LDraw Consent

(...) Such a rule about the using images generated from Ldraw would be impossible to enforce even if it did exist. That would be like Microsoft claiming ownership of every document made with MS Office or a paint company saying that they own the end (...) (16 years ago, 19-Aug-08, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: Minifig scale?

(...) --snip-- (...) I think you're demonstrating my point here by confusing size and scale here. A 'scale' defines the ratio of each dimension of the model to the real thing. Thus HO scale is 1:87, half scale is 1:2, true nano scale is 1:10^9 and (...) (16 years ago, 26-Jul-08, to lugnet.build, FTX)

  Minifig scale?

Hi all, Of late I've noticed a resurgence in the use of 'minifig scale' as a term. Being a mathematically inclined pedant I tend to take issue with this term as minifigs are so deformed it strikes me as impossible to define a single 'scale' to them. (...) Someone else had said that you CAN take the stands off, but you'd have to take plates off and then partially disassemble the stands to get the pegs out of the framework, and from seeing the pics, I can see why. After 9 hours and 40 minutes (counting from the moment I opened the box) my Imperial Star Destroyer is finished!
