Howdy, Apologies for the delay in seeing this message. I haven't really explored LUGnet since its inception. I've been reading rec.toys.lego for about three years now. Does someone know how to control two mindstorms or two cybermaster robots simultaneously? Of course, one can use either two PCs or one to drive the IR and/or RF sender.   Why TLG has not made a tie fighter
 
The way I see it, if I was TLG I would use black satrwars wings for the solar panels. problem: 1.TLG does not make black wings, therefore another part needed. I've seen pictures of two AT-ATs (don't know which one is David's) from the NELUG display at MindFest ( (URL) ) but that doesn't always give you a good impression of the actual size of the models. Call me crazy, naive, or just plain stupid, but here is a thought. There are I'd say 15-20 of you out there who really want some major amouts of certain bricks. It's dead easy if you are willing to have the RCX be stationary... just run the wallwart into the RCX power port, then have one of the motor controls go to the track. If you want to have the RCX onboard, powered by the rails, and controlling the (...) (27 years ago, 25-Oct-99, to lugnet.trains)

the parts in either one of the AT ATs (and I saw both in the flesh, WOW IS ALL I CAN SAY (yes I had to shout) ) would be way more than 150, I would think. There must have been 3000 elements in either one. Just guessing. I'd pay 500 for one. (...) (...) (27 years ago, 25-Oct-99, to lugnet.general)

PS: current batch is kinda fuzzy -- pretty low-light conditions in the gallery, unfortunately. I would like to run a train with the Mindstorms RCX. I seem to remember reading about someone applying 9 volts to the rails, picking that power up through the powered bogey (sp?) to run the RCX onboard the train, and using one of the motor outputs (...) (27 years ago, 25-Oct-99, to lugnet.trains)
