  4x2ReVu: 6497 Twisted Time Train

I'll be posting reviews here (instead of for the site I used to write for). Some of these reviews are older but unpublished, and there will be many NEW reviews for newer sets (Star Wars, Insectoids, Rock Raiders, etc.). ---...--- 6497 Twisted Time (...)   Re: Price info on classic space

(...) Well, he could definitely get more for them elsewhere. But that's not all that goes into setting the price. For example, if I were selling some computer stuff to a friend, I'd make the price a lot lower than what I could get on eBay. (25 years ago, 4-Oct-99, to lugnet.space)

Re: Rock Raiders IS a Space theme

(...) Yeah, but conceptually, they're very space-like. I'd also consider putting the Aquazone stuff under space too. (25 years ago, 4-Oct-99, to lugnet.loc.uk, lugnet.space, lugnet.underground)

  Re: Lugnet Newsgroups Anniversary!

(...) Yeah, I was wondering about that myself. Gimme a little bit, and I'll post some statistics. (25 years ago, 4-Oct-99, to lugnet.general, lugnet.admin.general)

  Re: Firmware

Check the 9V battery in the tower, and check the position of the RCX in relation to the tower--for the firmware download only, it seems to need to be at about the same level and pretty close together. In one of my projects, a "trambot," the (...) (25 years ago, 4-Oct-99, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: CW/CCW, vertex sequence, co-planar, convex  [DAT]

It seems to me that there are two major "camps" in the CW/CCW debate. A. Face-by-Face Method This method suggests that CW-ness be ultimately evaluated on a face-by-face basis. Each quad in a primitive or part would hold a value of CW,CCW, or (...) (25 years ago, 4-Oct-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: Maybe a way to hit inaccurate "hard to find" listers on eBay

Well, I just did it - emailed one of the McDonalds Drive Thru sellers, quoting that paragraph, and pointing out that their listing (which states "This kit is not available in stores and was produced in extremely limited numbers.") might violate it.   firmdl3 @ 41.13s

Hi, on my machine, original firmdl3 took 45.2s to download firm0309.lgo. - I increased packet size to 240 bytes, gaining roughly 2 seconds. - Added packet size prediction and bytewise decoding with a state machine (The decoder spent 50 ms per packet (...)   Re: New Meaning to Computer Aided Design

(...) No offense, but I'd rather view the images full-size at their original location rather than slogging through yellow links and white text against a black and white pattern background somewhere that gets the image links wrong and doesn't even (...) (25 years ago, 4-Oct-99, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: Has the world gone mad?!?

(...) I haven't seen a LEGO commercial in years. I don't watch TV at the right time, I guess. Even so, in any competition involving construction toys, the judges should have some knowledge of what the commercial offerings are. If there was at least (...)   Maybe a way to hit inaccurate "hard to find" listers on eBay

eBay has a "Powersellers" program for sellers who do more than $2000 worth of business a month on there. Powersellers are required to give a "Guarantee of Satisfaction". Here's what the Powersellers FAQ has to say: (...) "Accurately Represented" is (...) (25 years ago, 4-Oct-99, to lugnet.market.theory)

  Re: Blue Hopper Car Mania...

(...) A very small part of me wishes I had noticed this so I could pick up 4 or 5 of them, mainly for my own use. Then again, I've never quite gotten into the whole freight train thing, so I don't know what good these would do me with nothing but (...) (...) Yeah, that's a pretty harsh movie. I found parts of it hillariously funny, but I doubt any set of parents would approve of their daughter being taken to see it. (...)   Firmware

My firmware will not download to the brick under any windows program I have including The origonal lego one. I have tried about 7 different ways, but it only counts up to about 200 until it starts to retransmit. I put it in a perfectly dark room and (...) (25 years ago, 4-Oct-99, to lugnet.robotics)

(...) True. '0 INVERT END' may be allowed as a syntactic convenience to authors. Or 0 INVERT could be rewritten as 0 INVERT [ON|OFF|TOGGLE] where TOGGLE would be the default action. (...)   Another ebay scammer

Re: [FS] - eBay - McDonald's Promo set, box only - 25 cents

(...) I'd write 'em off. Either do it their way if you want to maximize profits or sell at SC or Bricks. Buy there if you want, of course. I'm convinced more and more that what eBay wants is for the seller to have every advantage over the buyer, (...) (25 years ago, 4-Oct-99, to lugnet.market.theory)
