Re: Anyone built a curved bridge?

(...) They never went anywhere. All the pics with "th" are thumbnails. There is an index at (URL) uses all the thumbnails but the stupid page takes forever to load with 53 thumbnails. Never did get back to figuring out why the page loads so slow. (...) (27 years ago, 28-Sep-99, to lugnet.trains)

Re: LEGO Stereogram (see it in 3D!)

Yup! As can virtually any other vision anomaly. I can't do the Magic Eye posters, since whatever it is that I need to do with my eyes to see them makes my (soft) contacts pop out. I prefer to think of it as viewing the world in a more artistic (...) (27 years ago, 28-Sep-99, to lugnet.general, lugnet.publish)

  WalMart prices...

I don't know if this is a local, regional or national WalMart price decrease, but... The local WalMart has had a number of sets on clearance for a few months. The markdown was only 20-25% off retail. Sometime over the weekend, they increased the (...) (27 years ago, 28-Sep-99, to lugnet.market.shopping)

Re: Datsville Front Loader (was Re: Datsville Construcrtions Steam Roller)

(...) That seems a good upper bound. Front end loaders come in all sizes, from tiny buckets that can't hold much more than a wheel barrow mounted on bobcats and kubotas, through tractor mounted ones on up to monster mining ones that are too big to (...)   What about the Micro Scout?

I have seen comments about the Scout, which seems to be the RCX's little brother. Same size, lesser capabilities. Has anyone had experience with the Micro Scout? This little guy seems like a good companion to the RCX, with its built in motor and (...) (27 years ago, 28-Sep-99, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Lego at Gerf.Org

(...) It's an interesting point. Network Solutions gets involved in trademark disputes over second level domains, but I've never heard of them caring about what goes on under that -- it's not, so to speak, their domain. And if you're providing your (...) (27 years ago, 28-Sep-99, to lugnet.publish, lugnet.general)

(...) The problem is that this really is a new medium. The people who wrote the Fair Play statement don't seem to understand it completely, but what they do say actually is pretty reasonable. Although I've got issues with connecting DNS and (...) (27 years ago, 28-Sep-99, to lugnet.publish)

  Re: Cookies ?

If you can give me the UPC (bar code) number off the label, I'll bug the WalMart folks about it. I know that sometimes they will get things they normally do not stock if you ask nicely and you know the UPC number. Also, what department of WalMart (...) (27 years ago, 28-Sep-99, to lugnet.loc.ca)
