Re: Just a FYI, Lego stores in Ontario

(...) And indeed you must have... I got a nice note at work when I went in to open the store on Sunday. Something about a Sandy and Dave popping in and saying hello to me while I was away on my camping vacations. Very nice way to start my work day. (...) (15 years ago, 20-Jul-09, to lugnet.loc.ca.on)

What's the story with all the recent mold changes?

Hey all, It seems to me that since Lego began outsourcing their brick production, a lot of needless mold changes have occurred. The first one I noticed was the 1x2 brick with Technic axle hole (which no longer has the nice cross/plus design), then (...) (15 years ago, 20-Jul-09, to lugnet.general)

  Re: RailBricks Blog

(...) Cool. Nice to see even more activity in the train world. I was feeling like we were a dying breed. Turns out we've just scattered. Hopefully this will help bring us back together. -Elroy (15 years ago, 20-Jul-09, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

  Red Deer Water Tower

Our group (NALUG) has the use of a strangely-shaped store in a local mall. (There are a couple of good things about the lousy economy!). Two weeks ago some of us were talking about things to fill up the space on the train layout we are working on (...) (15 years ago, 19-Jul-09, to lugnet.announce.moc)

  Re: RailBricks Blog

(...) A few technical difficulties. Things are back up now. Cale (15 years ago, 19-Jul-09, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

  Re: RailBricks Blog

(...) So I run off to have a look at the blog and maybe add it to my list of favourites... and it's down :P Hope it's back up soon! Jetro (15 years ago, 19-Jul-09, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

  RailBricks Blog

Just a heads up that in the past few weeks the RailBricks blog has taken off with a good post on Lego trains coming from any one of the contributors every couple of days. If things stay at this pace, for the Lego train fan it is worth a look at (...) (15 years ago, 19-Jul-09, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.general, FTX)

  Re: Brickshelf empty?

(...) Just the thing I was looking for. I started looking into this when Matija Puzar mentioned the NNTP protocol (which I vaguely remember using several aeons ago) and this got me on the right track. However, I have found that - as opposed to what (...) (15 years ago, 18-Jul-09, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Brickshelf empty?

(...) If you read lugnet with a newsreader (Outlook Express, XanaNews for example), instead of using the web interface, there's no problem keeping track of what you have read. XanaNews can probably be configured as a 'portable application' so you (...) (15 years ago, 18-Jul-09, to lugnet.general)

Re: L3P -check Messages and hold votes

(...) This is for Mac OS and windows OS at the same time. I think LDDP is only for WinOS. (15 years ago, 18-Jul-09, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

Re: L3P -check Messages and hold votes

(...) I wonder why this windows execute is soooo large (12,6 MB!) and LDDP is only 1,9 MB?. cu mikeheide (15 years ago, 17-Jul-09, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

Re: L3P -check Messages and hold votes

Please see the document what DATHeader is testing for at (URL) the POV code test I think it is a complete list of things that got a hold vote or at least not certified on the PT during the last (...)   Re: Brickshelf empty?

I think both policing and specializing is a bad thing. Policing, hiding stuff never solves the problems. Better bash it out in the open and deal with it. Sure, pure trolls need to go and there are limits. I moderate in Swedens largest bicycle forum (...) (15 years ago, 17-Jul-09, to lugnet.general, FTX)

  Re: Brickshelf empty?

(...) I'm old fashioned and prefer reading LUGNET through NNTP. It has both positive and negative sides, but one of the major positive sides is that you actually can easily keep track of cross-postings and posts that you have already read. And I (...)   Re: Brickshelf empty?

(...) Lately I have been posting a lot more on Eurobricks and a lot less on Lugnet mostly because Eurobricks is a LOT easier to post on than Lugnet (like all the times the authentication email takes forever to arrive or worse still, never gets (...) (15 years ago, 17-Jul-09, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Brickshelf empty?

(...) I don't believe LUGNET needs to return to what it was to once again be the centre of the LEGO universe. I signed up only relatively recently after reading LUGNET for some years and participating in the robotics section through an external (...) (15 years ago, 17-Jul-09, to lugnet.general, FTX)
