Hi all, I haven't posted any MOCs recently, but I have been building a number of new things, which I hope to post over the next week or two. To start off here are two riverine/coastal type patrol vessels. These are my first boats in the military (...)   Re: What would YOU like to see from TECHNIC?

I'd like to see a starfighter with Technic fig, farm tractors with technic fig, and machine shop tools (drill presses, lathes, vise, press, etc. to technic fig scale. Maybe each machine as a small set separately to build up your own size machine (...) (19 years ago, 5-Oct-07, to lugnet.technic, FTX)

Re: What would YOU like to see from TECHNIC?

I'm not a huge fan of technic sets. My neighbor is =) I have my share of robotics and I've bought a few technic sets. I've recently been buying all the old RC sets, 5 or so years ago I bought some RC technic cars from radioshack and they were tons (...) (19 years ago, 5-Oct-07, to lugnet.technic, FTX)

Re: What would YOU like to see from TECHNIC?

Something else that would be cool would be a Chinook or similar double-rotor helicopter. Doesn't need to be military, there are civilian versions of the Chinook and other double rotor helis out there. (19 years ago, 5-Oct-07, to lugnet.technic)

Re: What would YOU like to see from TECHNIC?

None of the models in those polls are particularly appealing to me. I second what others have said about space models. Another idea would be to take the jet aircraft from 4953 Fast Flyers and make a large technic model. Have rotating wings, landing (...) (19 years ago, 5-Oct-07, to lugnet.technic)

Re: What would YOU like to see from TECHNIC?

(...) There was also a technic model of the Mars Rover which was pretty good. (19 years ago, 5-Oct-07, to lugnet.technic)

Re: What would YOU like to see from TECHNIC?

Well since I already own hundreds of technic sets, most of them vehicles, I would like to something else than *vehicles*. The old control center sets brought us a pen plotter and robotic T-Rex... How about a working clock? Factory+conveyor? Better (...) (19 years ago, 5-Oct-07, to lugnet.technic, FTX)

Re: The Future of Trains // Wishlist

(...) Yes you do 'abuse' the system in the sense that Holger means. LEGO trains are designed for children, not hobby use. As much as this may be frustrating and there may be good reasons for TLG to support the 'abuse' of their system they are not a (...) (19 years ago, 5-Oct-07, to lugnet.trains)

  I'll third that!

Allan's suggestions are all excellent. I've never been a big Technic builder/collector either, but the ones that I bought were the ones that DIDN'T fall within the usual vehicle selections of cranes & farming equipment. The #8480 Space Shuttle is a (...) (19 years ago, 4-Oct-07, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Heddal Stavechurch

(...) Nicely done, Ludo! It's a very clean build, with nice lines. I was just in the actual Heddal stave church about a month ago, when I visited Norway. What an amazing place! Regards, Robin Sather (URL) <www.brickville.ca> (19 years ago, 4-Oct-07, to lugnet.town, FTX)

  Re: Why LDraw.org doesn't use ldconfig.ldr ???

(...) I think knew that at one point based on the comment about "dist divisor". And I suspect I didn't reduce it to -1,1,1 so I could easily switch to a point light source at that location.   Re: Why LDraw.org doesn't use ldconfig.ldr ???

(...) The distance would matter, except that you're using a directional light. Since the w component of your light position is 0.0, it's a directional light. As such, -1,1,1 is the same as the -1000,1000,1000 that you have. (How's that for (...) (19 years ago, 4-Oct-07, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

Re: What would YOU like to see from TECHNIC?
