  July 23rd 2005 Meeting Notes

On Saturday's SMART meeting we had a robot building competition. The object of the game was to push LEGO cylinders to the opponent's field. Two teams competed. I'm sorry I don't remember everyone's names on the teams, but the robot named "Lawn (...) (21 years ago, 25-Jul-05, to lugnet.org.us.smart)

  Re: Best pneumatic hexapod yet!

(...) If theres ever a blueprint of this one I´d like a copy...never tried to build something like it but might try some day... How many Pneumatic Cylinders (18+4?) and Switches (52?) were used? Andréas (21 years ago, 25-Jul-05, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.robotics)

  Really dark , dark room

Ok, If your planning on bringing something to the dark room for brickfest please let me know. I want to print the moc cards out on neon paper and would like a head up. For those late comers, let me explain. The room will be divided in half. One half (...) (21 years ago, 25-Jul-05, to lugnet.events) !

  Re: "Traikon" Heavy Assault Mecha

(...) Rocks it nice and clean Todd. It's good to see an "old timer" still around :-) (21 years ago, 25-Jul-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space)

Re: Using town garage door pieces for bulldozer treads

(...) I'm not sure how you could use any of the doors w/ handles, since the handled-door panels have to be on the end of a series of doors... Might run the risk of popping apart too, I dunno... I asked a while ago in a thread about making custom (...) (21 years ago, 25-Jul-05, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: white pigtails

(...) That helps a lot. I also see now how to search for values at BrickLink. Thanks everyone! -Suz (21 years ago, 25-Jul-05, to lugnet.market.appraisal)

Re: Odd Problem with Mlcad and POV

(...) I got the same errors when I started due to having "shared" part prefixes. All my parts started with the model number, space, then the "part". Again, I fixed it by using a - instead. (21 years ago, 25-Jul-05, to lugnet.cad)

first attempt at Digital Designer - beachhotel

Hi, With the new upcoming sets of Lego Factory ((URL)) i thought i'd give Lego Digital Designer a try. This is the result. (URL) It works fine i think, especially for microfig building at work ;-) I think i might use it some more. please let me know (...) (21 years ago, 25-Jul-05, to lugnet.build.microscale)

Re: [rtlToronto] rtlToronto19: Balance of Power Tentative Ruleset

(...) Your comment makes sense. We were talking about it and Derek suggested we start everyone at the edges of the beam. So you start at a 12" marker from the edge. If no one has any objections, I'll change it tonight. Calum (21 years ago, 25-Jul-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: Using town garage door pieces for bulldozer treads

(...) I think I still prefer the method of using technic tread links with 1x6 bricks for medium sized treads, and for huge treads - using hinges. I have seen at least one major oversized robot in lugnet robotics using plates with hinges between them (...) (21 years ago, 25-Jul-05, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Jerome's Brickshelf account

(...) Those are excellent! I especially love the ones with the diffused light, because it makes the Legos look so real. How did you diffuse the light so there isn't harsh shadows, and how did you change the texture of the land and sky? I'm still (...) (21 years ago, 25-Jul-05, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

  Re: 2005 Lego Store Locations?

Re: Space Awards at BrickFest 2005

(...) Hey guys, These are great! My fave is probably Gil's, because (URL) set 487, Space Cruiser> was my first "big" set as a child and holds a special place in my heart, and this is basically a vig version. All of them are uber-cool, though. Good (...) (21 years ago, 25-Jul-05, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)

Using town garage door pieces for bulldozer treads

Has anyone ever done this? They probably would not get good traction, seeing as how the only way to keep them from coming off the rollers is to put the handles on the inside and use them to hold the tread on. I think maybe it would be hard to get (...) (21 years ago, 25-Jul-05, to lugnet.technic)

Re: Sorting Bley and Chocolate Brown
