Re: Musings on an open-source Brickshelf replacement

(...) For simplicities sake this type of stuff already exists all that would have to be done is the aggregator part. NELUG uses an open source product called Gallery...   Re: Musings on an open-source Brickshelf replacement

(...) OK, that's interesting. But does it really alleviate the concern, or just shift it to somebody new? I.e., who's running LEGOFan, and how do we know they won't lose interest/fall into a well/join the dark side/etc. years from now, or even next (...) (21 years ago, 8-Jun-05, to lugnet.general, FTX)

Re: Musings on an open-source Brickshelf replacement

(...) Well, that's a fair point. But it still makes me nervous -- pretty soon you could have people pulling it in several different directions, and morphing it into something that's not really ideal for our purposes anymore. (...) Heh, if you (...) (21 years ago, 8-Jun-05, to lugnet.general, FTX)

  Re: No HP Set Fans?

(...) The Goblet of Fire sets should bring at least a little love back to this group, but I dare say that it's never been anywhere near as popular as other groups. I happen to be a huge HP fan, and therefore love all of the sets they've created so (...) (21 years ago, 8-Jun-05, to lugnet.harrypotter)

Re: What about a LEGO TECHNIC tutorial

(...) Travis, I understand 3D rotation matricies enough to know that they let you rotate around any axis, but I think MLCad's GUI only lets you rotate about, X, Y, or Z, because of limitations of its user interface. Michael has meta-commands for (...) (21 years ago, 8-Jun-05, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)

Re: What about a LEGO TECHNIC tutorial

(...) That's not true. It is true that doing rotations around arbitrary axes requires a lot more understanding of what's going on, but MLCAD allows you to define the full 3D vector around which the rotation happens, so you can rotate in any plane. (...) Wow! That's such a nice train and I really like the colours. Lovely work from both Martin and James. How far/fast does the real thing travel? It looks like a mid-speed longish distance train. Once again, fantastic work! Tim (21 years ago, 8-Jun-05, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

  Brickfest 05 War Gaming?

What's the out look for Brickwars at this years Brickfest? (05) I see there's a place on the building layout blocked out for it (no pun intended) just thought I might as well start the discussion. (21 years ago, 8-Jun-05, to lugnet.gaming.brikwars)

  Re: Help with short circuit

(...) There's a simple way to tell if it's a short, or just loss of power. If you get a short circuit, the green light on the controller goes very dim.
