  Re: Warning when using 1 x 4 x 5 windows!

(...) Thanks for the research. After some deliberating and opinion asking on www.brickish.org I decied to drill out the four windows I need to work this way. My first modded parts! My reasoning was that, as you said, some of the windows available do (...) (22 years ago, 24-Oct-04, to lugnet.build, lugnet.parts.mod)

Re: Set 7075 JacStone Pirate Ship

(...) Just noticed, that there are two versions of set 7075; I bought a second set, labeled "limited edition" (same price), which included motor AND battery; when mounted, this acts as counter-weight and makes the ship float reasonably.   Re: MOC: The Dish

(...) Thanks! And it has been suggested that maybe the dish emanates too much radioactivity.... ROSCO (22 years ago, 24-Oct-04, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.build.microscale, FTX)

  Re: MOC: The Dish

xpost to .space for what should be obvious reasons ;) (...) Senior Rosco, This is uber cool and something I was not properly aware of. Thanks for sharing a cool MOC, and bit of space history!   Re: MOC: The Dish

(...) Thanks! Well, I had the dish part already built for another project (URL) but saw that it would work just as well up the other way. The rest took but a few hours. (...) Well I had in the past looked at using parts like that for a radar dish, (...) (22 years ago, 24-Oct-04, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.build.microscale)

Re: SciBrick is looking for you!

(...) No (...) Agreed (...) I just wouldn't use that kind of terminology (...) Granted any promises that me be implied by Eric would be illegitamate and the need for Eric to come forward and admit his transgressions are clear."Legal measures" that's (...)   Re: Most redundant Lego part

(...) I used to think the same, until I came to build the drawbridge mechanism. (URL) stack of five 1x2 bricks has 4 more "ridges" than a single 1x2x5 brick which puts just enough extra friction on the beam that it will not fall under gravity. So (...)   Mini-RCX

Hi, My brother and I have been tossing the idea around of a mini-RCX. We have narrowed our idea down to a two sensor, two motor brick that would be approximately 4X6 studs on top, and about two bricks high. We were just wondering if anyone out there (...)   Re: Most redundant Lego part

(...) Hi Gary, if you stack 5 bricks together it will not be quite stably, so the 5 high bricks make a sence for me. But i cannot see any sence in this two bricks: (URL) and (URL) Specially if you stack 3 2x2 bricks together it will be very stably, (...) (22 years ago, 24-Oct-04, to lugnet.general, FTX)

  Rotation sensor limitation

I use a rotation sensor for a brick sorting machine – hence I need to know the limitation of the rotation sensor. What happens when the rotation sensor exceeds 9999 as shown on the LCD display? Apparently the rotation sensor can still keep track of (...) (22 years ago, 24-Oct-04, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.nqc)

  Re: Most redundant Lego part

(...) How about (URL) 'Panel Double Wall 3 x 6 x 6' It appears in one set (apart from a brief Dacta appearance) and whilst its a handy part to have, the function it performs in the only set it is in could equally well be done by 2 of these (URL) (...) (22 years ago, 24-Oct-04, to lugnet.general)

Re: SciBrick is looking for you!

-snip- (...) Do you really think I'm trying to control the discussion here? Honestly.. is that what you think?   Re: Tiki altar

David, this is the first moc of yours that I really enjoyed. It is very well thought out, with a nice variety of parts. Although you really choked....you should have waited to photograph the scene with the islanders offering a virgin sacrifice. (...) (22 years ago, 24-Oct-04, to lugnet.castle)

Re: SciBrick is looking for you!

  Re: Cloud Cruiser police vehicle

(...) landing gear/door is a pretty nifty solution too. It looks tall enough and the engines are beefy enough that you could probably hang a couple of police mecha under the wings for transport. That'd be cool. -Grand Admiral .space Curator (URL) (22 years ago, 24-Oct-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: New MOC: M2911 Plasma Pistol

(...) Mr. Soren, this weapon is perfect for airing-out 'skin-jobs'. (yeah, I know its not a direct copy of the Blade Runner weapon, but close enough) You did a nice job on the part above the trigger which I'm guessing is a safety...although I can't (...)   Most redundant Lego part

Do you ever wonder sometimes why Lego developed some particular part and say to yourself "what were they thinking?". The one piece that comes to my mind is the 1x4x2 arch. I mean it is virtually identical to the 1x4 arch plus two 1x1 bricks attached (...) (22 years ago, 24-Oct-04, to lugnet.general)
