  Re: New poster, new MOCs.

Welcome! Being a relative newcomer as well, my experience is that things really start to get fun after the delurk. I'm sure you'll find it the same! A nice start to things. The Grey Goose is a good example of a larger fighter class. Those new long (...) (22 years ago, 8-Jan-03, to lugnet.space)

  Re: A Generic Idea

Re: MOC : Moonbase Module - "Where's The Cheese" Moon Tours

Cheezarama (in a good way)! This is a fun one, Allister. Many of the merits have already been hightlighted in other posts, but I have to add my 'me too' to the kudos on the bus...it has a wonderful, beefy shape. The viewing windows look like the (...) (22 years ago, 8-Jan-03, to lugnet.space)

Haven't seen any of the separate cars recently but there's these train LUG's around here that I suspect of scooping up as much as they can get :^) Mike (22 years ago, 8-Jan-03, to lugnet.loc.us.ma.spr, lugnet.market.shopping)

(...) Holy (very bad word)! Someone actually saw that!?!? Yeah, I'll have more stuff up as soon as I get my camera program fixed. No instructions yet, 'cause I own a Mac and can't use lDraw. (22 years ago, 8-Jan-03, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space)

  brickOS with BricxCC

So far I have heard from two people who have successfully used brickOS with BricxCC. I'm interested in whether anyone else has tried using BricxCC to edit/compile/download programs to brickOS. Currently BricxCC requires that the cygwin bin directory (...) (22 years ago, 8-Jan-03, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos)

Re: MOC - Bowman Fields' Cottage

Hello! Realy cool! I too like the cartoon style of the cottage, very cute. With all those details and functionality on this small space your building is almost qualified to be a My-Own-Creation-Set. Bye Jojo (22 years ago, 8-Jan-03, to lugnet.castle)

  dll questions

I'm working on a new release of BricxCC at the moment and I want to better understand the dll utility - specifically the RCX host address and RCX source port options. I think I understand the RCX host address part. Correct me if I'm wrong. Supposing (...) (22 years ago, 8-Jan-03, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos)

  Re: 2003 Trains - great!

(...) At a minimum, you need a state sales tax license which will probably require state registration as a business. Don't assume that there is any great savings by purchasing from Marz. LEGO leaves them very little margin, especially with new (...) (22 years ago, 8-Jan-03, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Understanding Leaks

(...) I think this is an interesting point, and it wouldn't surprise me if there were some truth to this idea.   Re: Another Technic Axle Joiner Perpendicular 3L

I have to question calling any of these an "axle joiner". They bear no resemblance in appearance or function to the basic Technic Axle Joiner 6538, which is actually designed to join two axles together rigidly. None of these "axle joiner (...)   Re: Is Lego false advertising the new 2003 sets?

Mark, Good question about the "light up" aspects of the box artwork. But I don't think it is false advertising. Just good artwork. (1) I call it artwork because most toys are shown "in a fantasy situation" on the box front to catch the child's eye. (...) (22 years ago, 8-Jan-03, to lugnet.lego.direct)

  Re: 2003 Trains - great!

It was good to hear of the new trains for 2003. Looking in the rest of the Marz catalogue there is no mention of track, points or speed regulator. Are they expecting shops to only stock these 4 sets and you have to go to S@H for the add-ons? It is (...) (22 years ago, 8-Jan-03, to lugnet.trains)

  RE: 8475 Motor Tests

I don't have a 5292 motor or I would do this test myself, but it would be possible to get a more direct comparison with the 71427 gear motor. The 1700-RPM output could be geared down to 340 RPM at a gear ratio of 1:5 with 8- and 40-tooth gears. Tony (...) (22 years ago, 8-Jan-03, to lugnet.robotics)
