I got my Belville 5824s today, so here's an update on what each contains: (for
$9 only!)
3 white fabuland fences
2 white trellises (sp?)
1 white rabbit
2 orange carrots w/green rods (separable)
1 lt. blue fairy (ugh!)
1 trans fairy wings (fabric)
1 blue heart-shaped pack with BV bows and head-gear
1 trans. pink magic wand
1 white 2x1 plate with center stud
1 lt. yellow 6x8 plate
1 lt. green 8x8 "brick" (like the 6091 small bases, but different color)
1 blue peasant "bucket-bag"
1 green rope w/short rods (seen in ninja lines)
1 clear "head" w/printing of strawberries (it is the size of a minifig head)
1 trans (clear) 2x2x1.6 glass cover (seen in adventurers)
1 pink pot
1 pink frying pan
2 lt. yellow 1x4x2 arches
1 lt. yellow 2x4 plate
1 green 2x4 plate
1 medium-shade-green 4x4 plate (the Scala color, maybe?)
2 brown 2x2 round plates
1 trans. pink w/sparkles tower piece, measuring 6x8x8
2 green freestyle flower-stems
4 freestyle flower-petals: 2 lt. pink, 1 lt. blue, 1 lt. green.
1 pink watering can
2 pink cherry pieces (scala originated?)
4 +1xtra trans green 1x1 "dots" (round plates)
1 +1xtra trans orange 1x1 "dots" (round plates) (Yay!)
1 trans orange 1x1x1 cone
5 lt. green 1x1 plates w/grabber (whatever it's called)
2 town flower packs, each containing 4 flowers: 1 pack yellow, 1 pack lt. pink
1 blue shovel
1 yellow pack containing a butterfly, a ladybug, a flower and a bow
1 blue box, approx. 4x4x1, with no connection to lego whatsoever except for a
rod-sized hole on the top and a trademark.
And now, for the moment you've all been waiting for:
5 trans blue gems!
2 trans pink gems!
1 trans yellow gem!
and, the best part:
1 trans (clear) gem!
This is my first set inventory! It was fun!

No. The rabit's paws don't form a firm grip.

I usually call this piece 1x1 tile w/top clip. It has a clip instead of a
stud.

Standard blue. It really is hard - for example the fairy looks blue but she's
actually lt. blue.

Umm, the grabber comes instead of the stud, and the spear is horizontal. I
hope that's clear enough. If not, LMK and I can post a pic in my site.

Yes, that's true Yellow!
After 2 5824s and a 5823 I have 11 blue gems, 5 pink ones, 2 yellow, and 3
clear gems, plus 2 reds and a green I had earlier!

Well, we always thought that the yellow Classic Space guys were pretty tough,
going out into space with nothing but a helmet, some air tanks, and a tattoo
of the LEGO Space Force symbol on their chest...

I suggest, get a 5824 or two. As the db entry may show you, it's a great set
(with fairy exception), it'll get you some gems, rabbit, rare colors, two
trans orange 1x1 rounds and much more!

and didn't know what it was called. Today, I'm reading old messages from a

I decided to develop this and am currently working on my Sorceress' character
and connection to my story. (I'm looking for pink legs for this purpose as I

Obviously features will include a pink magic wand and a staff with a pink
gem...
I'm debating with myself whether to give her some hair, a black wizard hat, or
to paint a hat pink. Hmmm... tough decision. Although I have experimented with
some minor customizations, I haven't let paint come near my lego yet. Not to
mention I don't feel totally comfortable customized the holy Brick <grin>.
It seems to me like, in a lot of cases, painting is the easy way out (unless
you do extremely out there things that simply can't be acheived without
modifying a piece) when other alternatives can be used (like mixing-and-
matching arms and legs from existing pieces).

Hey, I actually hit the 3000th post to .castle without even trying!
Cool!
Congratulations on reaching this! I really love this group and hope we keep
going at this rate, soon we'll catch up with Robotics, Trains and Star Wars!
(After all, the SW excitement will die off, it is reducing as we speak.
.trains is already weakening, and soon will even weaken even more since TLC
will probably stop producing trains. Robotics traffic is already slowing
down... But the classy and classic Castle theme will get stronger every day!)

Paint some hair pink. 8) (Or is that too anime?) I think a black wizard hat
would make her look a little odd, unless you were going to do black clothing
with pink highlights. Then again a pink hat might be a little much too...
I'd have to say, go for the hair...or possibly some other form of hat?

Dragoons and it hasn't hurt me...I can still use 'normal' LEGO...>8)

I actually considered that for a point. Either that, or I'll paint some hair
white. (But then I'll need two versions, as she appears both in the present
and the past parts of my story...)

;-) Craig has definitely showed me the way, and encouraged me as well... but
I'm having my doubts... I don't see light in the end of that (dark) tunnel,
and that makes me wonder if I should even go there...

Tell me about it, I have 10 of these in light blue alone, plus several in
other colors!

After 10 copies of 5824, you don't want to know about how many gems I
have... I may have to start sorting by color... At least my pirates will
have lots of treasure to go after, and the castles will have plenty of
treasure to guard.

Ooh yeah! Those gems are really great - I'm gonna start some Magic wands for
my magicians soon.
Btw, was there a *specific* reason for buying 10 5824s, or did you just want
*all* the great pieces?

Well, I'm trading the lattices from 8 of them to Steve Barile for some
pirates. I also happen to like the white 1x6x2 arched fences, and enough
of the other parts to be worth it to me. The only piece I really didn't
want is the Millimy. I will probably end up putting a bunch of the roofs
up on eBay though.
