    List of suggestions —Larry Pieniazek
(URL) give it a boo. If your favorite suggestion didn't make the list, or if you think a different post explains the suggestion better than the one I chose, or if you know more about the status than I did, send me a mail to my LUGNET ID, and I'll (...)         Re: List of suggestions —Dan Boger
(...) where to post comments, etc. Now, comments: - "Ensure that admin@LUG.. goes to all admins": That seems to be in place, but assuming it works like the db@lugnet address, I'm guessing it doesn't work. I'd suggest you send a test email to that (...) (19 years ago, 29-Mar-05, to lugnet.admin.suggestions)

Re: List of suggestions —David Eaton
(...) I think the implication is that these would be two seperate things? Hence, the Top Stories on the main page (and potentially the news sidebar) would be the "general public" stories, but there would be a seperate area for your own personal top (...)         Re: List of suggestions —Rob Hendrix
I see one you guys missed (I think): Posting Mechanics - Fix FTX link mechanics for NNTP subscribers.         Re: List of suggestions —Duane Hess
(...) Thanks, Lar. This is a great moral boost. Will there be any explanations when an item is rejected? -Duane (19 years ago, 29-Mar-05, to lugnet.admin.suggestions)

(...) np... I've been complaining about not having one of these for a while, someone told me to put up or shut up! (...) Can't speak to that, or my morals... It's a great morale boost though, for me, anyway, though, see above. (...) That depends. I (...) (19 years ago, 29-Mar-05, to lugnet.admin.suggestions)

Re: List of suggestions —Orion Pobursky
(...) Why? If a reasonable explanation can be given, a explanation should be given. This is not the military (I get enough of that at work) and user donations drive this site. Therefore I think that if a user request is rejected, a reason for the (...) (19 years ago, 29-Mar-05, to lugnet.admin.suggestions)

Re: List of suggestions —Samarth Moray
(...) I agree. But I think that admins should be obligated to explain a rejection, but at their own discretion. I think preference should be given to explaining a descision rather than not, but of course, that isn't always possible. Legoswami (PS (...)          Re: List of suggestions —Leonard Hoffman
(...) -snip- (...) "At their own discretion" ... wouldn't that also mean that Admins shouldn't be obligated? I'm a bit confused. Perhaps a good compromise would be, Admins are obligated to give a reason, but that reason need not be detailed. A (...) (19 years ago, 30-Mar-05, to lugnet.admin.suggestions, FTX)

Re: List of suggestions —Samarth Moray
(...) What I meant was that Admins should give preference to explaining something rather than 'keeping it a secret' if you will, but whether or not they actually should tell something should be left up to them, especially if it involves a sensitive (...)         Re: List of suggestions —Ross Crawford
(...) Just one question - there's a couple there with (??) after the status, can you give more info what that means? Maybe a better way would just be to leave them at "Open" until the status is not in question? ROSCO (19 years ago, 30-Mar-05, to lugnet.admin.suggestions)

Re: List of suggestions —Larry Pieniazek
(...) It means I think (unofficially) that is the status, but I'm not sure and it's a placeholder pending clarification from the implementation team.
