Re: Good photos of Jurassic Park III sets

(...) I agree. Thats the problem. As an adult I am torn between wanting exacting realism and buildability. Especially since Pteranodons, Pterodactyls and Pterosaurs have always been my favorite extinct animals I wish Lego had made a better head (...)   Re: New Dinosaurs

(...) Absolutely. I'll take something crafted from plates and bricks over SPUDs (even if the SPUD-o-Saurus looks slicker) any day of the week. james (24 years ago, 13-Feb-01, to lugnet.year.2001, lugnet.general)

Re: Good photos of Jurassic Park III sets

(...) Because the pteranodon piece is a SPUD, and they want to get back to more flexibility? eric (24 years ago, 13-Feb-01, to lugnet.year.2001, lugnet.general)

Re: Good photos of Jurassic Park III sets

(...) I agree with this sentiment. My point, however, was: If they're going to reuse parts (the Pteranodon/ Raptor head) Why didn't they reuse something that looks like a pteranodon instead of sticking a raptor head on the brick-built Pterosaur (...) (...) I'm sorry, I didn't mean to misrepresent what you were saying. <:( I try to trim stuff down to it's bare minimum, perhaps in this case I was a little overzealous. (...) Well, we know the torso piece limb placement will hold a dragon arm. That (...) (24 years ago, 13-Feb-01, to lugnet.year.2001)

  Re: New Dinosaurs

(...) After having another look, I agree happily. The more parts, the better. (...) Unfortunately, you snipped the rest of my post. The next sentence was begining with "But". I only wanted to say that at that point I did not see any typical (...) (24 years ago, 13-Feb-01, to lugnet.year.2001)

  Re: New Dinosaurs

(...) It's actually *4* parts. Not identical. You have seen that it is divided symmetrically from side to side, making what you think are two identical parts in the front and back- it's also divided from front to back symetrically, so the body is (...)   New Dinosaurs

(...) Actually we should love those new Raptors and the Pteranodon. I, too, think that they don't look as "cool" as the Spinosaur, but I think it's a great approach of TLC not to make more SPUDs, but add some smaller special parts and build up the (...)   Re: Good photos of Jurassic Park III sets

(...) It's not one big SPUD. I know it looks that way, but it's not. I promise. (...) ??? You know, several people have said that they prefer the premolded dinos because they look better. For my part, I like these new Dino set guys, because they are (...) (24 years ago, 13-Feb-01, to lugnet.year.2001, lugnet.general)
