Whoa! You guys are *paying* to exhibit trains??? !!!

You're in the wrong venue!!!

Train exhibits should be at shows where you get *paid* to be there. They are
a huge draw at the for profit shows, and they will pay you for the help (I
do understand that you are using a venue for your robotics stuff that is
convenient to use for this as well. Great. Get your feet wet at it... but
then switch to different shows going forward, it's a money maker for your
club, not a cost, properly done...)

Lar,

Having exibited at most of the major Toronto Train shows ("The Railway Show",
GBTS, The Hobby Show, Ourlands), I can assure you that if they were going to a
show, they would be paid.  It's more like a private gathering (at least, that
is my understanding), beling held at a libary.

Not a real "show" at all. (or a 100% Lego show-if you prefer).  I've paid my
own way (in essence) to each show I have been to- 1200km/800 miles of travel is
hardly covered by a $60 stipidend :)
