| (...) Yes you do 'abuse' the system in the sense that Holger means. LEGO trains are designed for children, not hobby use. As much as this may be frustrating and there may be good reasons for TLG to support the 'abuse' of their system they are not a (...) (17 years ago, 5-Oct-07, to lugnet.trains)

| As I'm starting to be moved into my apartment, I've started to think about what to do for a train layout. I could put a 12'x12' layout in the garage. Here's a possibility: (URL) baseplates mark the boundaries of the table, including the access pit (...) (22 years ago, 27-Apr-02, to lugnet.trains)

I am upset that LEGO marketed the 9v line so poorly, but I also suspect that in the current (...) (17 years ago, 3-Oct-07, to lugnet.lego, lugnet.trains)

However, we have raised the point before that numerous intangible benefits arise from the 9V Train line. Community (...) (17 years ago, 1-Oct-07, to lugnet.lego, lugnet.trains) !

| I have finished my Lego train show at Glenrothes. My layout was voted the second most interesting one by the visitors. I always enjoy speaking to the people, it's always a surprise to meet someone else who has Lego trains: I met one happy Busy Bee (...) (22 years ago, 4-Jun-02, to lugnet.trains)

Perhaps, to cut the cost of the set, the number of straights would be 2, if that is the minimum necessary for use (...) (20 years ago, 4-Sep-04, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

I guess I was only making an assumption based on mis-perceptions fueled by not enough data and an unscientific guess. Boy, that's a horrible combination. (...) Good question - depending on my former tests, I would guess, that short 4-wheel waggons (like the lightweight barrel waggon from set 2126) with not more than 6 studs distance from wheel block to wheel block offer the lower running resistance.
