Re: Latest catalog information —James Powell
(...) OK, thank you for clarifying that :) (...) I don't expect it to meet my wildest dreams, but I _will_ be disapointed if all I can do with it is order a 4561 in green/yellow :). Frankly, any step TLC takes to make more trains is good, but I (...) (24 years ago, 18-Feb-01, to lugnet.trains)

I don't know if I'd say underpowered, but more like "cost efficient" in the engine department. -- James J.          Re: Latest catalog information —Larry Pieniazek
(...) No, that particular pic does seem to be unpowered, that is, has no motor. Maybe one of the variants will be a push train version? I'm speculating because I honestly don't remember what I saw in that regard. ++Lar (24 years ago, 19-Feb-01, to lugnet.trains)

Re: Latest catalog information —Ben Roller
(...) I figured that was what "cost effecient" meant. It seems that Lego assumes that everyone has 4561, so we don't NEED more motors. Whatever this build-your-own thing is, without an included motor (or with a motor being only optional) it should (...) (24 years ago, 19-Feb-01, to lugnet.trains)

Re: Latest catalog information —Steven Barile
So if you could switch out the boiler color (which I'm NOT sayiny you can), would you want aditional boiler color parts packs of different optional colors? For instance the base engine + one boiler color pack costs X, additional boilers color packs (...) (24 years ago, 21-Feb-01, to lugnet.trains)

Re: Latest catalog information —Jason J. Railton
(...) Well, if we could say 'give me 30 boiler packs in green', just to get the parts, then TLC wouldn't shift all that many whole trains in the long run. Yes, I'd like to be able to order extra packs in specific colours - but what I'd really like (...) (24 years ago, 21-Feb-01, to lugnet.trains)

Re: Latest catalog information —Frank Filz
(...) Thanks for scanning this. This locomotive looks nice. It is a bit european, but I like that it has a tender (I'm trying to think, has there been a set before with a tender?). I like the 2x2x2 dome in black, that's perfect for steam (...) (24 years ago, 19-Feb-01, to lugnet.trains)

Re: Latest catalog information —Frank Buiting
(...) Many of the sixties and seventies trains had tenders (actually mostly a batterybox on wheels, the except for the 725 which has a tender that doesn't hold anything).          Re: Latest catalog information —Frank Filz
(...) Well, the first HO locomotive kit I ever got was a Mantua 0-4-0 with tender. I guess this isn't the first tender, but of the one's pointed out (725 and 7750) it looks the best (and I don't count the battery car as a tender, it looks like a box (...)
