BBB Inspire Swiss Ae 3/6" Electric Locomotive Model —James Mathis
Ben kindly sent to me 6 of his BBB brand wheels. Thanks, Ben! I've tinkered with them a little. I'm really impressed with them: the ABS material feels quality the molding is excellent the Technic cross-axle hole is nice and tight the Technic pin (...)      (...) On thing I was wondering with these wheels is how to do a full coupling rod for rigid six coupled chassis, would this work? (URL) I love the model of the Ae 3/6. the early Swiss locs with their odd wheel arrangments and cranks are a favorite (...) (21 years ago, 11-Nov-03, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

(...) Needs to be deeplinked. This is not a deeplink it doesn't end in a file extension... I'll say I myself haven't cracked the full crank yet across a 6 couple that doesn't have a pair of blind drivers, but I'm working on it! (...) Yes. Early (...)        (...) I tried posting on this subject over the weekend, but of course Lugnet was in a 'funk'... I was eyeballing a set of three of the BBB wheels as they went around "those pesky tight Lego curves". I looks like you'll need about one brick of 'play' (...)          Re: BBB Inspire Swiss Ae 3/6" Electric Locomotive Model —James Mathis
(...) This may be a bit of optical illusion, for the placement of the oversize diameter place-holder wheels penetrate the 9v rail. Maybe that gives the appearance that the wheels stick out left/right farther than do the 12v wheels? See this (URL) (...) (21 years ago, 11-Nov-03, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

Re: BBB Inspire Swiss Ae 3/6" Electric Locomotive Model —Tim David
(...) Yes that what causing it, now I look at the original image I can see that the wheels go lower than rail level. It doesn't really matter anyway as they are temporary parts but thanks for clearing it up. The sweepstake is now open for the length (...) (21 years ago, 11-Nov-03, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

Re: BBB Inspire Swiss Ae 3/6" Electric Locomotive Model —Larry Pieniazek
(...) A "good enough" mockup should not be too hard... ... start with Ben's!!! but the bending in the rear of the ribs will take some care to model accurately. personally I'd vote for seeing if Ben can release his CAD files (assuming he designed (...)    (...) Hi James, that is in fact good news on these wheels! (...) Even the better! I begin to have an urgent need to get some in my hands....    (...) Here is the (URL) Ae 3/6 electric locomotive with Ben's unofficial dat-part wheel>. The main (URL) Swiss Ae 3/6 v2 folder>, once moderated, contains the .mpd file for the loc, as well as a color modified version of Ben's wheel .dat file. (...)
