This may be a bit of optical illusion, for the placement of the oversize diameter place-holder wheels penetrate the 9v rail. Maybe that gives the appearance that the wheels stick out left/right farther than do the 12v wheels?

See this front-on image without vanishing point of the Ae 3/6.

Yes that what causing it, now I look at the original image I can see that the wheels go lower than rail level. It doesn’t really matter anyway as they are temporary parts but thanks for clearing it up.

The sweepstake is now open for the length of time before someone LDraws the wheel anyway!!

A "good enough" mockup should not be too hard... ... start with Ben's!!! but the bending in the rear of the ribs will take some care to model accurately. personally I'd vote for seeing if Ben can release his CAD files (assuming he designed (...) (21 years ago, 11-Nov-03, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.cad, FTX)
