  LDCC and Boosters

Has anyone had any success using DCC Boosters with LDCC? There are ways to connect Boosters of different brands to command stations (e.g., you can use a Digitrax Booster with an EasyDCC command station). Although to do this, you need to know which (...) (21 years ago, 24-Jun-03, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: LDCC Resources?

(...) I have installed several Digitrax DN142's. I really like the "Back EMF" load compensation function. It helps with voltage droop on curves and hills. Also, shortly I will be getting a couple TCS M1's. These are cheaper than the DN142's and have (...) (21 years ago, 24-Jun-03, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: LDCC Resources?

(...) Good question, here's a list of decoders I've heard of being installed inside a train motor (any others, anyone?): Digitrax DN121 Digitrax DZ143 Digitrax DN140 (discontinued product) Lenz LE0511W MRC AD330 Also, these decoders seem likely (...) (21 years ago, 24-Jun-03, to lugnet.trains)

(...) for decoders, most of us are using digitrax decoders of various types. But, any DCC compatable decoder will work. The LDCC setup uses the mindstorms remote control to operate. For more info on DCC search lugnet.trains, and look at Tom's site (...) (21 years ago, 24-Jun-03, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: LDCC Resources?

(...) There is nothing especially 'Lego' about the controller. Once you have installed the decoders in the train motor you can use any DCC train controller, there are a number of these and also some computer programs. When you look into this further (...)   Re: LDCC Resources?

(...) When you say LDCC do you mean DCC for RCX, or something else? If DCC for RCX, have you checked the header of this very newsgroup in web view? It has a link to Mark Riley's site... (URL) that helps. If it didn't, can you ask your question (...) (21 years ago, 23-Jun-03, to lugnet.trains)

  LDCC Resources?

Hi, I was wondering if there were any website that may contain details on the setup and control of LDCC. Are the RCX units required to control the trains or can this be done by a computer? Thanks, Peter Young. (21 years ago, 23-Jun-03, to lugnet.trains)

Re: MOC: Indian Railways Alco WDM2 with typical coach and a Indian station.

(...) Hi Steven, that is a really beautiful gallery full of wonderful MOCs! Among the models you show the passenger car is my favorite: very impressive, even in "standard red" this would have been an eye catcher! Thanks for sharing your links. Leg (...) (21 years ago, 23-Jun-03, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Revised Bettendorf Truck Design

Modifying bricks, Re: Revised Bettendorf Truck Design

(Crosspost to technic, because my reply is more technic releated) (...) Back in the eighties I had a neigbour who was short of technic pistons (nr 3652 on peeron) and created several out of 2x2 bricks. He removed some abs from all sides to make the (...) Warning - I like to modify bricks. I understand the - now you've modified it, there's no way back - syndrome. So please allow me to make a suggestion.   Re: MOC: Indian Railways Alco WDM2 with typical coach and a Indian station.

(...) A search on bricklink will reveal the price of dark-red, and more importantly the dearth of parts available in that colour. Good luck with it anyway ... you'll be needing a lot of plates!! SteveH (BeLUG) (21 years ago, 22-Jun-03, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Revised Bettendorf Truck Design

(...) Actually, it was Ross' idea to use just one, but here is why I wouldn't use 2. Cutting the wheel out to me was no big deal. I would never use the element as it was. Now, cutting the brick is another story. Now you have committed its use for (...) (21 years ago, 22-Jun-03, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

Re: MOC: Indian Railways Alco WDM2 with typical coach and a Indian station.

(...) Wow. Stunning work. The "crowds swarming on" scene is a favorite. I am going to have to try SNOB out, it seems a great idea for stretching limited colors farther. Toastercat seems to be a little, er "tanner"... than usual... Spotlighted! (21 years ago, 22-Jun-03, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Revised Bettendorf Truck Design

(...) John, I just thought of something. Since you are taking apart 2x2 wheels, why not use two of them. If you snip off one of the loops that holds the axel on, then the two 2x2 axel bricks will sit flush to each other, and you have a 2x4 axel (...) (21 years ago, 21-Jun-03, to lugnet.trains)
