Re: New hoppers and other wagons, using bricks obtained in the 1Kg from LEGOLand Windsor

Stripes in light blue? Is that all you can do? :-) I think they're really good. The diesel looks better now with more yellow at the front, and those curved-top bricks really make the hopper something special. Those other wagons look the part too. (...) In lugn Again, cab windows are (...) Same trick I used on my 25's...if only some bits were available in green! (75% 1w slopes, then I could make the front of the green one green not yellow except for where it should be yellow...)-I'm also still (...)   New hoppers and other wagons, using bricks obtained in the 1Kg from LEGOLand Windsor

Following the Red Letter Day at LEGOLand Windsor (read all about it in lugnet.loc.uk and see (URL) I have been busy using some of the rare and otherwise unobtainable bricks obtained in the 1Kg of LEGO we were given on the day in new train creations.   Re: PNLTC gathering to build a helix at Ben Fleskes's

(...) As I was typing I was remembering that that may be a problem. I know the blue one's won't work (they won't even fit over the studs on the middle tie in grey 4.5v/12v track. Frank (22 years ago, 19-Apr-02, to lugnet.trains)

Re: PNLTC gathering to build a helix at Ben Fleskes's

(...) The helix is so cool. As far as 12v conductors go, I've found that they need to be modified slightly to fit over the studs on the added ties. Did you find a way around this? Mark (22 years ago, 19-Apr-02, to lugnet.trains)

Re: Under Hanging Train Idea: v1 Concept design

(...) I think those old power pickups would be the way to go. The slightly newer ones have a thin enough pin to be able to be plugged into a 12v wire. Of course "pure" solution would be to use a 12v motor, but a little cutting of wire would provide (...) (22 years ago, 19-Apr-02, to lugnet.trains)

Re: SCLTC Website Updated! (New look and loads of images!)

(...) We at SCLTC are a pretty independent lot, so solidarity might be stretch. In any event, we did call ourselves an "LTC" which certainly conforms to the norm (I met an excited guy at NAB last week from Raleigh who was disappointed to find that (...)   Re: Under Hanging Train Idea: v1 Concept design

(...) Cool! (...) You could provide a bit of friction in the rotating mount. This'll reduce the swing-out effect as well, but should solve the "swing-in" problem. You could try squeezing the bushes together further than normal. This can increase the (...) (22 years ago, 19-Apr-02, to lugnet.trains)
