  Re: idea book revisited

(...) Yes, but it'll open them but it never shows anything. EXE's are simple with Visual Basic... I've made a few (one was a test to see how I could do my shop inventory, but then I found Brickbay!). (...) I'd buy the CD anyways, & HOPE that maybe (...) (23 years ago, 22-Dec-01, to lugnet.trains)

Re: LDraw Names for Monorail Parts

(...) And thank you Bernd for that, very much!!!! My vote is for a new category. The only commonality is that both Mono and trains are electrical and that is a weak pretext to hang shoehorning the mono stuff into trains, in my view. (23 years ago, 22-Dec-01, to lugnet.cad.dev, lugnet.trains)

  Endless Load/Unload and Transformer Train

Bad Links (Re: Endless Load/Unload and Transformer Train)

(...) Zhengrong, You do some great work, but you may want to check your web links! I don't get to your RCX Controlled LEGO Train Projects, I get redirected to www_pay2k_com/portal! And if you use your back button to get back to LUGNET you get (...) (23 years ago, 22-Dec-01, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.admin.general)

  LDraw Names for Monorail Parts

[XPosted to .cad.dev and .trains, FUT intentionally not set] Background: Bernd Broich has created LDraw files for many (all?) of the components of the Monorail track and motor system.   Re: Track? MOC or New?

(...) In fact, these are fairly simple to make yourself. Fellow PNLTC member, Dan Parker, used a model railroading track saw to modify a few sections of track, and he can now make straight track sections of any length. To cut perfectly straight (...) (23 years ago, 21-Dec-01, to lugnet.trains)

  idea book revisited

<sorry for the delay in dealing with this- i had a long response ready to go on Monday and my broswer crashed> I've given some more thought to the idea book and have come up with a few ideas: Printing costs do seem to be a major hurdle to overcome. (...) Thanks! Are the windows on the sides of the caboose mounted (...) Yup-- 1x2x2 clear thin walls. Classic windows were too small, and train windows were too big. The 1x2x2s are actually a skosh small as well, but I was running out of options:-) (...) (23 years ago, 20-Dec-01, to lugnet.trains)

(...) I would say the best chance would be the short Straights. (1/2 or 1/3, 1/4) That's the same design just as a straight just shorter. No thought really involved... Dean (23 years ago, 19-Dec-01, to lugnet.trains)
