<sorry for the delay in dealing with this- i had a long response ready
to go on Monday and my broswer crashed>

I've given some more thought to the idea book and have come up with a
few ideas:

Printing costs do seem to be a major hurdle to overcome.   I've done
some checking and it is possible to print them at a lower cost then what
was mentioned in the previous thread (~$26 US).  They still are
*prohibitevely* expensive to print and sell as a fundraiser.

The best way to overcome this is to make the idea book on a cd-rom in
pdf format.

Some advantages of this:
-more models can be included
-cheaper to make
-dat files of models may be included
-allows a book to be produced at a later date.

There are probably many more, let me know your opinions.

I've started work on a website that will detail the submission process
and outline the basic format and plan.

-chris

Hi Chris, (...) That is a very good solution! It will make the international availability much better. (...) Cool! Will you post your results here on lugnet.trains? If more details are fixed I will ask german train builders to join in there models? (...) (23 years ago, 20-Dec-01, to lugnet.trains)
