| | How do a build a mountain?

Hi everyone. Well, there are no houses on eBay right now that I can bid on so I am going to start planning for the next section of my suburb...the mountain. I was thinking I could make the mountain out of non-Lego elements. Thus, getting a model (...) (25 years ago, 26-Mar-00, to lugnet.town)

You can build your own mountain, that way you can have it flat at the top and have caves and other things. If you build it with newspapers and then cover them with a thivk layer of plaster, you can then file the plaster flat and paint it. Perhaps (...) (25 years ago, 26-Mar-00, to lugnet.town)

(...) Well, you're really going to get two different looking designs if you make a mountain out of Lego's, and a mountain out of plaster. First of all, with Lego bricks, you will get a lot of jagged edges which is perfect for a mountain. You can (...) (25 years ago, 30-Mar-00, to lugnet.town)

We have a Styrofoam mountain in the NGLTC layout. Its made from the sheets of pink home installation, Great stuff foam and a thin layer of sheetrock putty (for texture). Also a few clone blocks were added as rocks to the mountain to give it some (...) (25 years ago, 18-Apr-00, to lugnet.town)

Glad you liked it Brendan. I know that some people prefer a "pure" LEGO mountain (so would I, but I'd rather use the limited bricks I have for other projects), I modeled it after a mountain that was on the cover of a S@H catalog I saw a few years (...) (25 years ago, 24-Apr-00, to lugnet.town)
