Re: Minifig What scale are they??

(...) Well, my standard for minifigs is 7mm = 1 minifig foot. This is based off of the fact that minifigs are typically about 42mm tall (you can adjust that with backpacks and hats), which should be roughly 6 feet. This translates roughly into a (...)   Re: Minifig What scale are they??

(...) Minifigs are minifig scale. I know they don't scale up to human size: my head isn't as tall as my torso, and my legs are longer than both. Oh, and I have knees. I suspect TLG designed them to be somewhat childlike. Large round heads, (...) (25 years ago, 23-Mar-00, to lugnet.build, lugnet.general, lugnet.trains, lugnet.town)

Re: Minifig What scale are they??

(...) The problem is that minifigs don't actually have human proportions. Therefore, "minifig scale" is actually kind of wonky too. ericc (25 years ago, 23-Mar-00, to lugnet.build, lugnet.general, lugnet.trains, lugnet.town)

Re: Minifig What scale are they??

(...) They're not to any particular scale... depending on the dimension you use you get different scales. They are either extremely fat normal height people, or extremely stunted normal thickness people. Lego was just predicting what we all will (...)   Minifig What scale are they??

Ok, I have not managed to read many posts in the last 4 weeks or so(I hold my head in shame) due to work comitments.I have recently purchased a Panther radio controlled model tank, 1.25th scale. As a teenager I used to have 1.35th scale tanks etc. (...) (25 years ago, 23-Mar-00, to lugnet.build, lugnet.general, lugnet.trains, lugnet.town)

Re: Pictures of GFLTC at GATS Ft Myers on our stie...

(...) Here's a few pics of one of my buses: (URL) I am building vehicles, I decided to determine the width by how "big" or "massive" it has to be. Buses are typically large things that need should be much longer than a standard car. A 4-wide twenty (...) (25 years ago, 22-Mar-00, to lugnet.trains.org, lugnet.trains, lugnet.town)

Re: Pictures of GFLTC at GATS Ft Myers on our stie...

I thought the way you were mixing 6 wide busses with 4 wide trucks and containers was interesting. It certainly has me thinking about this whole 4, 6, 8-wide thing. Hmmm does that mean I should make my Honda Civic 3 wide since my wife's minivan is 4 (...) (25 years ago, 21-Mar-00, to lugnet.trains.org, lugnet.trains, lugnet.town)

Re: What are the companies in your city?

(...) I'm building a Serpent-Eleven for my new town of Mini Gardens. It's an all-nite convenience store with the Mummy's Tomb aten/serpent logo. After that I will need a second quicky place - maybe a BrickWay - but I think it won't be a brand name, (...) (25 years ago, 21-Mar-00, to lugnet.town)

Firstly may I congratulate you on quite a brilliant layout, I love the station. I really think that the Amtrak diesel in gats00fm11.jpg (a P42?) is impressive. All of my stores have silly names. Meta Crab's Electrode Hut (the same Meta Crab of Slapstick/Robotrek fame), SDF-1 Fashions (the store looks like the SDF- 1 from Macross), Special Gun Shop, and so on. I have two construction companies, Blue Collar (...) (25 years ago, 18-Mar-00, to lugnet.town)

What are the companies in your city?

Making one of those "Foreign" Ambulances.....

After watching Black Mask for like the 100th time, I got an inspiration to build those Hong Kong Ambulances in the movie.
