  Re: Two new buildings

(...) Upon closer examination, I see the texture-- nice. Texture is the one thing that I just can't get enough of when it comes to building facades-- I just go nuts over the LL buildings. I happen to really like the log bricks for this kind of (...) (23 years ago, 9-Jan-02, to lugnet.town)

(...) Tan and white would make good building colors as well and are currently available. (URL) (23 years ago, 9-Jan-02, to lugnet.town, lugnet.build.arch)

  Re: cornice

(...) Thanks Adrian, I'm offically out of those parts now. This project did force a sort of all my unopened sith infiltrators finially. Remember, all themes lead to town. :) -chris (23 years ago, 9-Jan-02, to lugnet.town, lugnet.build.arch)

  Re: cornice

(...) Thanks! I have another cornice in the queue that is even more amazing and uses another part that comes in abundance in a starwars set. Maybe I'll do a mockup of it in a few minutes and post pics. I should say that I've been inspired to work on (...) (23 years ago, 9-Jan-02, to lugnet.town, lugnet.build.arch)

  Re: cornice

(...) Thanks! The red parts are 2x2x2 slopes (minifig dresses). You have to drop them down one plate lower than the tie-fighter piece which will produce a slight gap along the angle but it's ignoble. The red slopes are hard to come by since they (...) (23 years ago, 9-Jan-02, to lugnet.town, lugnet.build.arch)

  Re: cornice

(...) Wow! thats alot! Never mind me finding 2x2x3 corner extreams! Josh (23 years ago, 9-Jan-02, to lugnet.town, lugnet.build.arch)

  Re: cornice

(...) I just noticed that as well. 2x2x2 slopes? in red? in abundance? Jonathan (23 years ago, 9-Jan-02, to lugnet.town, lugnet.build.arch)

  Re: cornice

(...) Cool! I've got tons of those parts hanging around. If I were a town builder, I'd definitely use that idea :) (time for another theme perhaps...) Adrian -- www.brickfrenzy.com (23 years ago, 9-Jan-02, to lugnet.town, lugnet.build.arch)

  Re: cornice

(...) Now that is a cornice! Fantastic. Why did I sell all mine? (20 + copies of the tie fighter) Very creative, Chris. Jonathan (23 years ago, 9-Jan-02, to lugnet.town, lugnet.build.arch)

  cornice

I don't know if someone else has had this idea for a building cornice or it's something new I came up, but here's an idea for a building cornice using some seemingly useless parts that many of us are all but swimming in. (URL) sorry if i 'stole' (...) (23 years ago, 9-Jan-02, to lugnet.town, lugnet.build.arch)

  Re: New Wheat Hopper

(...) Townies, please note the above. You can run but you cannot hide. Sooner or later, any townie worth his stripes will become a trainhead. (Trainheads for the most part are already townies... just look at the buildings we all crank out on a (...) (23 years ago, 9-Jan-02, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.town, lugnet.off-topic.fun)

  Re: Two new buildings

(...) Thanks very much! Waht isn't really evident in the pic's is that the brown band you mention is comprised of log bricks with the 1x side facing out, so in the actual model it isn't that overbearing. (IMO). Now that you mention it, I don't know (...) (23 years ago, 9-Jan-02, to lugnet.town)

  Re: Two new buildings

(...) These are two fine looking buildings, Jonathan. You have incorporated some very pleasing and believable details. I think I am with you on the green. Personally, I think that keeping bright colors down to a minimum makes a building look better. (...) (23 years ago, 9-Jan-02, to lugnet.town)

  Re: Two new buildings

(...) Thanks. Yeah on the gray building the are quite a few 1x2 plates as well as center stud tiles. I think the little details add a lot. I really think that green cornice blows. I am not happy with it at all. I am leaning towards sand green with a (...) (23 years ago, 9-Jan-02, to lugnet.town)

  Re: Two new buildings

(...) Hi Chris, Thanks for looking & posting. The blue in the awning is the Life on Mars blue. (I don't know if that is sand blue or not) It differs from the dinosaur blue. Thanks again, Jonathan (23 years ago, 9-Jan-02, to lugnet.town)

  Re: Two new buildings

(...) I like the brown stripes going around the tan one. The black and blue canopy looks nifty too. The use of the different slope angles is very cool. On the other one, I like how every so often you have a 1x2(?) plate sticking out, giving just a (...) (23 years ago, 9-Jan-02, to lugnet.town)

  Re: Two new buildings

Looks good Jonathan! I really like the brown and tan one. Is that the new sand blue used in the awning? -chris (...) (23 years ago, 9-Jan-02, to lugnet.town)
