Re: Bad Axe Theater and Generic Theater

(...) Thanks, Ben. This use actually wasn't planned. I used the extra wheels that were sent. (Thanks for those!). The planned building with your wheels was this firehouse: (URL) I used them above the windows, under the arches. Thanks again! Jonathan (18 years ago, 5-Jan-07, to lugnet.town)

(...) Hi, nice use of the BBB wheels. You mentioned you had something, non train, planned and I was curious to find out what you were up to. Nice job. Ben Fleskes Big Ben Bricks LLC (18 years ago, 5-Jan-07, to lugnet.town)

Re: Bad Axe Theater and Generic Theater

(...) Hi Nathan, Thanks! It is all about the little details. And, there is no bley issue with me. ;o) Best, Jonathan (18 years ago, 5-Jan-07, to lugnet.town, FTX)

Re: Bad Axe Theater and Generic Theater

(...) Hi Marc, Glad you noticed the knit caps. They were a last minute idea that I think worked out nicely. With regards to the blocked up windows; this may sound a bit odd coming from someone who has created some of the rough looking buildings that (...) (18 years ago, 5-Jan-07, to lugnet.town, FTX)

Re: Bad Axe Theater and Generic Theater

(...) Hi Jon, Thanks! The tan tiles are facing 'studs out' using tan technic bricks behind them. Thanks again, Jonathan (18 years ago, 5-Jan-07, to lugnet.town)

Re: Bad Axe Theater and Generic Theater

I like the second scene a lot! The rich but simple detailing you put into each building is excellent. I like your use of the new wheel frames, even if it does raise bley issues. Thanks for sharing and God Bless, Nathan (URL) (18 years ago, 5-Jan-07, to lugnet.town, FTX)

Re: Bad Axe Theater and Generic Theater

(...) Really neat use of the (URL) knit caps> on the Bad Axe. Shouldn't the windows on the two theaters be bricked up, though (assuming they were converted from other uses)? Great work as always, Jonathan. I'd love what you could do with the (URL) (...) (18 years ago, 5-Jan-07, to lugnet.town, FTX)

Re: Bad Axe Theater and Generic Theater

(...) Wow! I am always amazed at your work! I especally like the Bad Axe Theater. How did you get the gaps in the tan smooth plates beside the red door? jon (18 years ago, 5-Jan-07, to lugnet.town)

  Re: My new buildings

(...) Hi Ludo, I just love the footprint shape of the city hall building. Also, the light grey arches inside the white arches on the dormar(?) on the roof is great! I did not know that they could work in that manner. The brown house looks great as (...) (18 years ago, 4-Jan-07, to lugnet.build.arch, lugnet.town, FTX)

  Re: Evolution of garbage (truck)

(...) I think it's much better too. Smooths out the front a litle bit more too which is nice. (...) Thanks. I try to give advice as I like to receive it. (...) And I only just noticed the rear end. Very cool. The plate backs work really well there (...) (18 years ago, 4-Jan-07, to lugnet.town)

  Re: Evolution of garbage (truck)

(...) I made this adjustment last night and I love it. Thanks, Tim. I really appreciate your honest, helpful approach to giving feedback on MOC's. The brickshelf gallery is updated with a couple of new pic's. Best, Jonathan (18 years ago, 4-Jan-07, to lugnet.town)

  Re: Evolution of garbage (truck)

(...) We've had them in Brisbane for at least ten years. I seem to remember that some have two arms: one for recycling and one for the other bin. Tim (18 years ago, 4-Jan-07, to lugnet.town, FTX)

  Re: Evolution of garbage (truck)

(...) An approach I agree with. Excellent! Jonathan (18 years ago, 4-Jan-07, to lugnet.town, FTX)

  Re: Evolution of garbage (truck)

(...) Thanks, Mike. I guess it would depend on where you live with regards to the robotic arms on the trucks. I don't know how quickly they are able to go thru their motions, but I can't see them being faster than a human here in NYC. I am thinking (...) (18 years ago, 4-Jan-07, to lugnet.town)

  Re: Evolution of garbage (truck)

(...) Not if I can help it. In our community, we have a choice of refuse collectors, and instead of choosing Waste Management, we use a local, family business. The owner's son picks up our garbage in a modified pick-up truck:-) I would even be (...) (18 years ago, 4-Jan-07, to lugnet.town, FTX)

Bad Axe Theater and Generic Theater

Hello! So, I had a little time to do some building and finishing of quite a few MOC's over the holiday break. These two, like firehouses and diners, represent another interest of mine: old time, neon marquee'd theaters. There is something really (...)
