  Re: Hailfire Powered by Manas?

(...) I have a "Yes". Now off to buy the Hailfire. If anyone has additional thoughts on getting this hybred running let me know. Joseph (23 years ago, 1-Jul-03, to lugnet.technic.bionicle, lugnet.starwars)

  Re: Hailfire Powered by Manas?

(...) Um *evil grin* yes! Actually, I have no idea how feasible it is. You'd need to use the drive links on the side of the Manas drive unit (they rotate faster than the front/back drive links), and you'd need to put a medium-to-large gear between (...)   Hailfire Powered by Manas?

Is a Manas-powered Hailfire a feasible project? If someone says "Yes"...I guess we all know where my next $50 goes! Joseph (23 years ago, 1-Jul-03, to lugnet.technic.bionicle, lugnet.starwars)

First Reaction to the Takanuva set (8596)

There is no way that, in the movie, Takanuva does not come to a screeching halt in front of the other Toa and throw a shower of dust on them. Is there a biker term for that maneuver? (23 years ago, 24-Jun-03, to lugnet.technic.bionicle, FTX)

  Re: Blacktronicle II: Bohrokitron

(...) I was a bit less than surprised, actually. Paul Coombs already mentioned that his Gremlin MOCs weren't very well-received, and this one is quite similar in concept. (...) Isn't that like saying a team is on a two-game winning streak? I've made (...) (23 years ago, 24-Jun-03, to lugnet.technic.bionicle, lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: Blacktronicle II: Bohrokitron

(...) Yes, they do come in the Darth Vader set, but they also come in the Super Battle Droid set. I can't be 100% sure of where those specific pieces came from, but I do happen to have a recently opened SBD sitting next to my desk (which is where (...)   Re: Blacktronicle II: Bohrokitron

(...) Odd how nobody really responded to this one...I'm more curious though as to why you keep making mecha when you profess to dislike the whole mecha concept: (URL) Weird? I don't know. Anyway this particular one doesn't really do it for me. It (...) (23 years ago, 23-Jun-03, to lugnet.technic.bionicle, lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: New MoCs - Was:Re: Toa Nuva Posters

(...) Probably not. I've long heard rumors about what masks were shorted in the mask packs, and more often than not, any mask that people claimed was HTF was one that I had a bunch of, while any mask that people claimed was really common was (...)   New MoCs - Was:Re: Toa Nuva Posters

(...) I have't gotten Proto Pakari yet. Got many multiples of the others already. Seems to be the hard one to get. (...) There was one made by a fan - MoC - that looked pretty good. Don't know what happend to it. (...) Well, I was saying the Heads (...) (23 years ago, 18-Jun-03, to lugnet.technic.bionicle, FTX)

  Re: Toa Nuva Posters

(...) Just don't mix Testors Model Master with Testors Model Master Acryl. It's like mixing oil and water. Exactly like it, in fact, since TMM is oil-based enamel, and TMMA is water-based acrylic enamel. Color selection on TMMA isn't great unless (...)   Re: Toa Nuva Posters

(...) Hmm...I'll try that, shot a little flat Steel from testors, and it should give a little flake into it. (...) Most browns seem to work pretty well, since it kind of "fades" as the streaks get longer. (...) Come to the Dark side...Toa of Fire... (...)   Re: Toa Nuva Posters

  Blacktronicle II: Bohrokitron

After building the first one, I couldn't resist making one using the Bohrok frame, since I already knew it was possible. I borrowed the basic concept from Paul Coombs' Gremlin, but the construction is completely original, though it borrows a bit (...)   Re: Blacktronicle

(...) IMHO, absolutely nothing. Well, that's not entirely true. I still have to pay for them, and a lot of the pieces I love to use are not currently in production. In particular, I'd love a steady stream of black Toa legs, colored Toa heads, and (...) (23 years ago, 14-Jun-03, to lugnet.technic.bionicle, lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: Toa Nuva Posters

(...) I find it more frustrating than funny, but that's because any time I mention stuff like this on MaskofDestiny, I get a bunch of e-mails from people telling me that I'm wrong.
