Hey that's a very impressive model!
It's also comforting to see another LEGO maniac having problems with the
laws of physics Vs. the toy LEGO actually is.
Sometimes I forget LEGO is "just a toy" and expect it to perform better.
When I built my backhoe [1] I tried to estimate the final load and stack on
boxes filled with LEGO and it performed well, but when all my high-density
RC equipment, motors and batteries were in place it could barely move.
And since my patience does not cover big projects I finished it off w/o
fixing the problems.
I had some moral issues with this 'til I realized I enjoy the build and flow
out of my hands and not too much of problem solving since that's what my
work days look like. I hope to make another model like the Lynx [2] some
day, that model really flew out of my hands and took but one session to
build!
Anyway, hope the model holds up during the flight or at least it wont give
you too much of a challange to put back when down on the ground again :)
