Given the sheer volume of LEGO that goes through eBay in any given week I
would find it hard to label it as inconsequential. As a business person I
would see it as a part of my own market that was being eroded by my
inability to meet customer demands.
Is it possible to wipe out eBay LEGO? Or stuff being sold on private sites?
No, of course not. But it's possible to regain some of those sales and
those frustrated customers.
These aren't black and white issues, but rather multi-hued options and
decisions that look to strike a balance between what's realistically
possible and what would delight a majority of fans.
I never claim to represent the mainstream, I always refer to my thoughts as
an alternative opinion. I'm not your typical adult LEGO fan.

You want list seems perfectly sane to me. I would also enjoy windows as I
am a building builder as well as a technic fan. I think the black technic
beams get thrown around because they are such an obvious example of fans
overpaying for them on eBay when the company could really be providing them
at a reasonable price.

I agree. So that's why black technic beams keep coming up in LUGNET
threads. ;)
