Finally updated the videos on my site —Tom Newsom
For all that are interested, I finally fixed the videos of the 6 leg walker and Digger on my site. The capture program for my camcorder uses a bizarre mpeg codec to save things, hence the unloadability. After a little re codeccing, they should now (...)      The action on the backhoe is super! Most pneumatics ore pretty poor. Yours is very real in its synchronization of movements. By keeping all the piston mounts in the same places, the same motions were achieved. Glad (...) (24 years ago, 6-May-01, to lugnet.technic)

(...) Ah I see :-) BTW while we're on the subject of sorting, how does everyone organize their Technic pieces? I tend to just use the plastic trays that come with the sets... -Gaurav Thakur, raving madman Can be reached at cp5670@supermail.com (URL) (24 years ago, 8-May-01, to lugnet.technic)

The problem I often run into with this approach is incompatibility of the stroke of the cylinder compared to the real one - usually it is too short, which means finding a different set of mountpoints to achieve the same working envelope as the (...)          Re: Finally updated the videos on my site —Tom Newsom
Happily enough, the lego pistons seemed to have almost exactly the correct reach in each position. If I remember correctly, the real world digger I based it on used nearly identical pistons all round (it seemed). The only major difference was in the (...)    (...) At last! I've been dying to see the videos of that digger for months :-) The compactness of the digger still amazes me, it must have driven you nuts trying to fit everything into that small amount of space. Jennifer (24 years ago, 4-May-01, to lugnet.technic)
