Here are some of the vechicles I would like to see in technic: tanker truck (petrol tanker perhaps) cherrypicker another bulldozer (when was the last one?) dump truck grader steam roller wrecking ball ute/pickup truck one of those quad things (...)   I think it's time for a motor grader! Future 8455?

Hello Lego Technic fans. Since the 1997 front end loader (8459), lego hasn't offered a large construction technic set. I think it would be a good idea to make a motor grader: 1) Pneumatic blade control 2) 4 or all wheels drive 3) powerfull engine 4) (...) (23 years ago, 17-Jan-01, to lugnet.technic)

Re: I think it's time for a motor grader! Future 8455?

I think it's time for TLC to do a mobile crane with a 3-piece boom. I've been at it for a few weeks now (okay, I'm quite ambitious: I want the boom to get 1meter high) and it's hard to get it all right. Anyway, this would be the functions (...) (23 years ago, 17-Jan-01, to lugnet.technic)

Re: I think it's time for a motor grader! Future 8455?

It would be nice, i wonder what the 8455 will be, has anybody hear the rumrors in loc.au? that there may be a Technic Jet fighter come into the series? I have seen this motor grader before somewhere , did it come from a 850/950 manual or on the box? (...) (23 years ago, 17-Jan-01, to lugnet.technic)

Re: I think it's time for a motor grader! Future 8455?

That Komatsu motor grader looks really cool, but it's not the coolest model around. There are Caterpillar and Case graders around, and some older models of graders still around have the ability to swing the blade to either side. This is done by (...) (23 years ago, 18-Jan-01, to lugnet.technic)

Re: I think it's time for a motor grader! Future 8455? too much crane

(...) You cannot have too many mobile cranes. And that's a fact ;-) A grader would be nice - there was one as an alternative model in the first Technic fork lift truck, but it was very simplistic. Jennifer Clark (23 years ago, 18-Jan-01, to lugnet.technic)

Re: I think it's time for a motor grader! Future 8455?

(...) I'll second this! While I've yet to get the Mindstorms set, electrically controlled pneumatic switches would open up so many possibilities. While it is possible at the moment with various mechanisms, the motor overhead (and size) makes it (...) (23 years ago, 18-Jan-01, to lugnet.technic)

Re: I think it's time for a motor grader! Future 8455?

It should be simple enough to do, too. Just a solenoid controlling a valve piece molded into a piece of plastic, and with a power attachment on top of it for the control pulses. It might require a bit of fiddling with on-neutral-off settings, maybe (...) (23 years ago, 19-Jan-01, to lugnet.technic)
