Re: Pneumatic steering (was Re: Suspension)

(...) The ways to get round your last issues are: Use flex tubing for most of the long tubes - this eliminates the balloon effect. You can get one-way valves from Big Ben Bricks: (URL) With sudden movements you will still get air escaping though. (...) (19 years ago, 3-Apr-05, to lugnet.technic, FTX)

  Pneumatic steering (was Re: Suspension)

I am currently trying to build a vehicle with pneumatic steering. Pneumatic steering: If you move the lever on your control-unit slightly to the left/right, the vehicle will make a wide turn left/right. * If you move the lever on your control-unit (...)   Re: LEGO Sets Ranked by LUGNET Members (Fri 1 Apr 2005)

(...) I'm not sure how seriously to take this poll. It doesn't have a single Bionicle set! It looks like a brick separator is a better "set" than, say, the (URL) Rahkshi>, which (in my book) is one of the top five designs to ever come out of (...)   Re: This site is not for me.

Come on people!, its not like he is trying to sell a ton of the things for a profit. It was more of a joke than anything else. Sure he could have posted it only in the market section but this thread started as a technic discussion not a ebay sales (...) (19 years ago, 2-Apr-05, to lugnet.technic)

This site is not for me.

(...) You've got to be kidding me. I have seen pictures and links on this site of minifigs having sex and using the toilet, but I can't say that? I know that there is a no swearing policy here, and I would never do that because I know that children (...) (19 years ago, 2-Apr-05, to lugnet.technic)

Re: Lego Technic can be used for ANYTHING!

(...) Paul, I agree with David, this doesn't belong in lugnet.technic. Further I'd say you could have changed your phrasing although it's pretty mild. (...) Since it's your second ebay post [1] I'll point out that such posts belong in lugnet.market.auction and not in .technic - David [1] (URL) (19 years ago, 1-Apr-05, to lugnet.technic)

I put one on Ebay just for the hell of it: (URL) was getting alot of e-mail about it from a PSP messege board. After all it is really neat. -Paul (19 years ago, 1-Apr-05, to lugnet.technic)

Lego Technic can be used for ANYTHING!

I made these speaker stands last year because my Center Channel speaker was too large for the top of my new Sony Television. They are as strong as the day that I made them and wedge perfectly into the top slots on the T.V. There are also stops on (...) (20 years ago, 30-Mar-05, to lugnet.technic)

Re: Miniland scale Tiller fire truck

(...) Jacub, This is a great looking model! This takes me back to the days growing up in Southern California; when I would always run to the window to see one of these speeding down the road with its trailing convoy of pumpers. (...) My apologies for replying to my own post. But somehow I messed up the link to Jacub's folder above. Here it is again. I just don't want it getting lost in the shuffle. It's definitely worth taking time to look at: (URL) B (20 years ago, 30-Mar-05, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.modelteam)

  Miniland scale Tiller fire truck

This is a 1/20th scale (miniland scale) 1968 American la France open air “Tiller” aerial fire truck.   Re: Large Technic Tracks?

(...) In my experience, there are several criteria regarding good vs. bad traction with these tracks. If you have a creation that needs to use the tracks to operate separately to steer, the friction sideways must also be addressed. There needs to be (...)   Re: oldest lego technic piece

I still use Fischertechnik parts occasionally. In terms of there robotics (this will get me shot too...) and pneumatics stuff - they are far in advance of Lego - but for actually gearing and wheels Lego Technic does still come tops for me. Having (...) (20 years ago, 28-Mar-05, to lugnet.technic)

Yes - I can confirm these- I have these parts. Annoyingly - they are not in the LDraw parts cat yet. I have been working on a 32090 dat though - as that frame comes in very handy.
