It'll get better with time, I swear!

The man is a genius!!!! That's the best thing I've seen since Erics B-Wings. I
can't help thinking that the SW Guide has the dimensions of the AT-AT all
wrong. It has to be taller than 16 metres. If you compare the size of Luke in
ESB when he goes up against one, he is tiny. And Dave's model is certainly
more than 40 studs high. I think Dave's dimensions are spot on!!

Anyone else notice this discrepancy, or am I just blowing smoke???

Actually, you're quite right. There's been loads of discrepancies with the '50
feet' measurement that Lucas originally gave. According to 'studies' done on
the film, they're closer to 75 feet tall (22.5 meters is the estimated height)
I forget the name of the web page, but there is one out there that lists all
the multitudinous discrepancies in the movies (the MF having 5 legs in 1 movie,
7 in another, etc)... Combined with that, a few other estimates, and my own
calculations, 22.5 meters makes a lot more sense. But the lego AT-AT is
actually *slightly* bigger, measuring at about 23 meters tall in minifig scale.

(...) The web site that you are referring to is probably: (URL) has a section called Millenium Falcon: Ship of Riddles that discusses the various discrepancies regarding the freighter. (25 years ago, 20-Oct-99, to lugnet.starwars)
