(...) <snip> (...) </snip> What a surprise. I don't doubt the kid's abilities, but don't you think it's getting a bit old that a Michon wins every contest? ~Mark (24 years ago, 25-Sep-00, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.legoland)

  Re: Padme Naberrie

Limp dialogue is an understatement! Of course I bought EP1 on video to savor the digital scenery, etc...but I wince in embarrasment every time I hear little high school comments like "Are you brain dead?' or "You assume too much," as though it was (...) (...) I'm not sure how we're supposed to interpret that exchange, especially given George's limp dialogue writing in general and his uninspired character direction in particular. There's no indication other than that single, off- hand comment by QG (...) (24 years ago, 25-Sep-00, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: FBTB Coverage of Galactic Challenge Event

The models and the features the kids put on them were wonderful. Everyone there should be very proud. (Go Hungary! Whoo Hoo!) I have to say, though, I am very disappointed in the building materials they were given. Think a minute: you assemble the (...) (24 years ago, 25-Sep-00, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.legoland)

FBTB Coverage of Galactic Challenge Event

Hey! Tim Saupe -- From Bricks to Bothans -- asked me to post some information on coverage they're doing of the Galactic Challenge contest that was held on Friday. Here's the link: (URL) winners were David Michon (US) in the 5-10 age category, and (...) (24 years ago, 25-Sep-00, to lugnet.announce, lugnet.starwars, lugnet.legoland) !

  Re: UCS X-Wing Q's

I had the exact same experience and, as of yet, have not been able to solve the engineering problem. I'm really surprised they didn't utilize the design of the AMT/ERTL model. That version had the top left and bottom right wings connected and vice (...) (24 years ago, 25-Sep-00, to lugnet.starwars)

G'day (G'd night almost here in Sweden 7.30 pm) Yes, i do have the same problem with the gearbox. No, i did not get the extra pieces. You are indeed a lucky man...   UCS X-Wing Q's

G'day Folks, Since TRU here in Canada finally had a 20% off sale with this set on the shelf, I snapped one up. The two boxes still on the shelf were horribly beat up. I bought the better looking one hoping nothing was missing. I made out pretty (...) (24 years ago, 24-Sep-00, to lugnet.starwars)

  Millenium Falcon (7190) questions

Evening all, Haven't actually seen one of these in the ABS yet, I can't seem to find a detailed review of it over in .starwars, and I'm getting all keen and hyperactive.   Re: HOORAY! STAR WARS EPISODE 1 VALUE PACK!!!!

I'm not sure, but this may be old news. If it is, I apoligize up front. The Target stores in the US are currenctly selling "value" packs with the Mos Espa Pod Race, Lightsaber Dual, and Droid Fighter for the very low cost of $49.99... Again,if this (...)   Re: Podracer Engines

Thanks for all of the info! I figured they were for steering, but I wasn't sure. (...) Well, yes, in a way. When opened, they'll slow down the side their on, and the ship will turn in that direction.   Podracer Engines

I'm new to Star Wars, so have a lot of questions. This one concerns the banana peel pieces on Anakin's pod, and the backwards appearance of the engines. My sister suggested that the model would look better with the engines on backwards, and it does. (...) (24 years ago, 24-Sep-00, to lugnet.starwars)
