  Re: NLS opinion

(...) Actually, I think that the Snowspeeder is a lot *more* impressive than the UCS X-Wing. It was designed to fit into a very specific scale, it was designed to only contain a certain number of parts and fit into a specific spot in the Lego (...) (24 years ago, 18-Jun-00, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: Han Solo in carbonite

(...) Adding my 2c When I found out it was not like the Sarco-Fig from Adventures...I only bought one. I might have bought 5 or more if it was better. My guess is they had a design a with rased Han,but would have made the Slave too big. Oh, well, (...) (24 years ago, 18-Jun-00, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.build.minifigs)

(...) X-wing (...) that Star (...) Then why would she think the Snowspeeder is a good set? It was next to the UCS X-Wing also, and she still thought it looked good compared to the MF. The Snowspeeder isn't anywhere close to being as impressive as (...) (24 years ago, 18-Jun-00, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: Han Solo in carbonite

(...) I'll second this...when I saw the printed Han, I thought how lame it was, even a coffin lid would have been better. This is a great example of a piece that Lego should have made. James (24 years ago, 18-Jun-00, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.build.minifigs)

  Re: Han Solo in carbonite

(...) Why couldn't LEGO have done something similar? I like how you kept it two studs wide. --Bram (24 years ago, 18-Jun-00, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.build.minifigs)

  Re: NLS opinion

(...) What a loaded comparison. You could set the Mona Lisa next to a UCS X-wing and the painting would look like crap. They are two totally different types of sets. I am guessing the reason Lego came out with the UCS is so that Star Wars fanboys (...) (24 years ago, 18-Jun-00, to lugnet.starwars)

  Han Solo in carbonite

Hi, I have made my own Han in carbonite to go with the Slave I set. A little warning on forehand, it involved cutting and painting LEGO. I'm reasonably 'pure' with LEGO, though for this one I made an exception. Anyway you'll find it here: (URL) (...) (24 years ago, 18-Jun-00, to lugnet.starwars) !

  Re: NLS opinion

(...) Have to give credit where it is due, your wife has excellent taste:) I think that the Snowspeeder has to be my favorite (packaging looks great too) set to build out-of-the-box. My opinion as owner of a MF model is the same, it would require (...) (24 years ago, 18-Jun-00, to lugnet.starwars)

  NLS opinion

Last night I was at TRU with my wife (NLS) and we passed the Star Wars sets. She looked at the UCS X-Wing and said "OOoooooo" and she thought it was really cool. She then noticed the Millennium Falcon next to it. She said it looked "crappy" and "not (...) (24 years ago, 18-Jun-00, to lugnet.starwars)

Podracing Bucket and other stuff at FAO Schwarz

(...) We had an FAO Schwarz open this weekend at the Mall of Georgia and they had the podracing bucket as well as all of the new "dino" adventurer sets (I've only seen 3 of them at other places, but they had all 7 at the store). It comes in a Black (...) (24 years ago, 17-Jun-00, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: free gift?

(...) I filled out the survey from the Slave I and got a LEGO cowboy keychain. Not bad, I guess, but it took forever and a day to get to me. ~Nathan (24 years ago, 17-Jun-00, to lugnet.starwars)

  free gift?

A few weeks ago i got my Lego Millenium Falcon. Inside I found a Lego survey that asked a few questions about what you thought of Legos. a free gift is offered when you mail it to them. has anyone else gotten one of these? Does anyone know what (...) (24 years ago, 17-Jun-00, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: A couple stupid SW questions...

(...) Can't argue with that. :) (...) Earth Force ships lack shields, in fact, I don't think ANY B5 race has them, but the Vorlons have a similar technology. Defence is in the form of pulse guns that shoot at incomming shots to block them (as well (...) (24 years ago, 17-Jun-00, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: 1 problem with click-hinges

(...) Here's a thought...what if the cockpit is the first of a line of new click-hinge products? TLG doesn't always release the full line all at once, they often put 'test pieces' out there to see how well received they are. Perhaps cockpit (...) (24 years ago, 17-Jun-00, to lugnet.starwars)

  1 problem with click-hinges

Hey all, I love the Star Wars line for the most part, and the click-hinges are really terrific. The only problem is that the click-hinge attachments on the cockpit pieces prevent them from being connected to other smoke colored clear pieces because (...)   Re: Imperial Sets in 2001

(...) I agree that we will likely see a AT-ST, but I think it may come with one of two playsets, like the B-Wing at the Rebel Control Center. If they chose a Hoth model (not as likely) then it may have a turret defense or a generator and figures (...) (24 years ago, 17-Jun-00, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: A couple stupid SW questions...

(...) Don't be too sure about this one. The Enterprise E is the David in a battle of Goliaths. Battlestar Gallactica's landing bay is 1K long making the ship about 2K. A fully-stocked Battlestar has almost 300 little fighters, not to mention the (...) (24 years ago, 17-Jun-00, to lugnet.starwars)
