What SW set has a Dewback? Bill Pfund (20 years ago, 28-Jul-04, to lugnet.starwars, FTX)

  Re: MOC: Dewback

(...) Dewbacks being local is more logical than Banthas. After all, lizards are good at adapting to desert conditions. Hairy animals not so good. (...) Indead - they are as big as an elephant, with no savannah grasses or trees to snack on to keep up (...) (20 years ago, 28-Jul-04, to lugnet.starwars, FTX)

  Re: MOC: Dewback

(...) And were the Dewbacks local or did they bring their own? It would seem unlikely that the All Powerfull Empire would have to scrounge up local transport, but on the other hand a Star Destroyer doesn't seem to be an ideal environment for the (...)   Re: Set 10131 Tie Collection

(...) Why not add some prominent Trade Federation Battleships to the EPVI fleet at Endor, while we're at it? And some AT-TE's to the Hoth landing? The trench run is fine as it stands, ship-wise. They can tweak the maneuvers, but the addition of new (...) (20 years ago, 28-Jul-04, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: Set 10131 Tie Collection

(...) I'm afraid the TIE/D won't be an EU ship any longer after the release of the DVD version of the Classic Trilogy... (...) ...I guess they added a TIE/D to the scene of the Trench Run in Episode IV. To this conclusion I came after looking at the (...) (20 years ago, 28-Jul-04, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Lots of Bots - Bot Contest MOCS

Heh, these are pretty nifty. The only thing I'd suggest is maybe tweaking the color scheme on the military bot and maybe adding some more gizmo-type stuff and such to the med-bot--if only to build-up the impression of it being an all-out, (...)   Re: MOC: Dewback

(...) Thank you. (...) There's also the variety that shows up on your lawn in the morning; the mil dew. (...) I've always pondered that as well. I'm assuming the most obvious (outside of the SW movie universe) reason is that Lucas didn't have the (...) (20 years ago, 28-Jul-04, to lugnet.starwars, FTX)

Re: Many Star Wars Minis and More!

(...) You're welcome. ;) (...) It's nice to finally see you on LUGNET, Chris, and have your models get some more exposure. As always, really good job with all your MOCs, and I look forward to seeing them in CAD form. (2 URLs) (Bruce) (URL) LEGO @ (...) (20 years ago, 28-Jul-04, to lugnet.starwars, FTX)

  Re: MOC: Dewback

Nice Dew. So if a certain species of Dews had their habitat in the hills, would they be Mountain Dews? :-) I have also wondered why Storm Troopers needed Dewbacks when they could have used speederbikes or something; I suppose having them ride the (...)   Re: Set 10131 Tie Collection

(...) Huh? The TIE Fighter trim has actually been slightly improved, and the TIE/a trim is considerably better. The original TIE/f design didn't have the black 2x3 wedge plates to make it a true hexagon instead of an octagon. Instead, the 2x4 (...) (20 years ago, 27-Jul-04, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: Set 10131 Tie Collection

(...) Sorry, I had it mixed up in my head that the original Y-Wing/Tie set was around 700 pieces, so I figured it took about 300 for the T/A. Guess I had the numbers messed up. I guess it will be possible to get all 4 from 682 pieces, especially (...) (20 years ago, 27-Jul-04, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: Set 10131 Tie Collection

(...) Mostly, except the only EU vehicle they've ever released. I'm wondering both what the deal was that they're supposedly not allowed to do EU ships, and what enabled them to get around it this time. I see three immediate possibilities for why (...)   Re: Set 10131 Tie Collection

(...) The official LEGO description DOES say 4 models. The big surprise is they included a TIE/D (Tie Droid) instead of a TIE/I (Interceptor) as the 4th model - the TIE/D is an expanded universe craft, and has not shown up in any movies (unless this (...)   Re: Set 10131 Tie Collection

(...) I wouldn't be too sure about that. The original TIE Fighter set was only 169 (the wings are big, but pretty low on part quantity), and just over 20 of those parts are the parking pole and the Stormie, so figure it at about 145 per TIE, and (...) (20 years ago, 26-Jul-04, to lugnet.starwars)

  Star Wars AT-AT 50%off

Hey Guys! Just was at the local Target (Oceanside CA.) Sunday and saw they had set #4483 AT-AT on clearance for 49.98 from the original price of 99.99. They had a bunch there, although some of the boxes were a little less than perfect. I'm glad I (...) (20 years ago, 26-Jul-04, to lugnet.market.shopping, lugnet.starwars)
