  Re: LL38 - P38 Lightning Contest Entry

(...) Yeah, I saw yours on the contest page. Neat. You went with a p-38 version of 891 whereas I went more with a 928/918 version. (...) I did try to restrict parts usage to parts from the era, but sometimes you just gotta do ;), and parts like the (...) (21 years ago, 16-Feb-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

(...) And there it is. You guys have 2 weeks left. I'm thinking about award(s) right now. I'm thinking we should have maybe first-second-third place because this contest is so big. (URL) [ j o n ] (URL) zemi.net> (URL) moonbase> (21 years ago, 15-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  P-38 Contest Entry: S/FB-12 "Lightning 2"

Hi all, I've been seeing all these awesome P-38 based creations and decided to try one myself, so here's mine. It's part of a set of ships I'm working on using this engine style. Should be posted to brickshelf later today. Keep (...) (21 years ago, 13-Feb-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

(...) Excellent creations as usual. I really like you maintained the P-38 look yet put the main thrusters in the tail-plane rather than in the twin booms. I personally don't mind the way you did the landing gear. Seems entirely plausible for a (...) (20 years ago, 23-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

(...) Well Jamie, that's a very succinct staement. It very clearly says 'P-38' while being its own boss self. I like the American Choppers angle. I think we should do some kind of Choppers/ Monster Garage/ Trading Spaces sort of thing in LEGO. (...) (20 years ago, 22-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: P-38 Contest Entry: SA-380 Dragonfly MOC

(...) The blue 1x3x12 wedges really give the fuselage a nice smooth shape that blends well from the nose to the "wings". I really was aiming for a very P-38 like design, but not exactly like a P-38. I am happy with the way it turned out. (...) Not (...) (20 years ago, 26-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)
